WhiteHexagon Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 Hi All, We were thinking to drive down from Frankfurt tomorrow, but it's a bit hot in Germany at the moment!!! Does anyone know if the the park is quite sheltered from the sun? Like lots of trees or something? I can't imagine the bricks are in direct sunlight?? But I'd like to spend as long as possible there :) Hopefully there aren't too many football supporters doing the same! :) Cheers Peter Quote
SuvieD Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 No, it is actually rather tree less. There were a few trees but not many and certainly no so large as to provide much shade. When I went it was around 1 in the afternoon and it was extremely hot. The only cool place I found was in the PaB area, and even that was not that cool because of many many people in there. Have a nice trip and bring plenty of water if you plan on staying in the park! Quote

WhiteHexagon Posted June 15, 2006 Author Posted June 15, 2006 Thanks for the tips. Maybe those trees have grown a bit since 2003 :) I'll report back if we make the trip :) Cheers Peter Quote
WhiteHexagon Posted June 16, 2006 Author Posted June 16, 2006 Well we made it there and back :)) Quite a long drive and what started as a cool day still got hot in the afternoon. But we survived with lots of water and some ice cream :) Anyway it's a pretty cool place although for shopping bricks I think the shop in Koeln is almost as good... Some great models there though, nice to see some places I recognised. And there is a really cool Allianz football statdium that must have 1000+ minifigs!!! Peter Quote
