Vader Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 So im off to see the 3rd Blade film tonight and just wanted to know if anyones seen it yet and what their thoughts were.

Orlego Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 I really like the first two and hopefully this one will be just as good. There just has not been that much hype about this movie. It kind of surprised me when I seen the commercial. It just seemed to come from nowhere.

For me the best part about the first was the fact that the vamps lived in our society and interacted with normal people, but i thought that that was lost in the second one and they just went the usual vampire movie route. From the trailers that i have seen it looks like the third one will be more in line with the first.

I agree, but I still liked both. I'm usually do not care for vampire based movies but Blade has not been bad. Let us know if it is any good or if it gets "rent it" status. ;)

Firstly the film is now closer to the first one in terms of it being set in the real world, one of the things that i didnt like about the second film was that they seemed to ignore what was set out in the first ie. a vampire culture that lived in the real world with only a few humans knowing of their exsistance. The story is your run of the mill hero stuff good vs evil, the film once again has great visual effects and most of the acting is good. I wont go in to details about the story as i dont want to ruin anyones enjoyment (unless im asked nicely ;) ) all i will say is that its better than the second but not as good as the first. Overall if you liked the other two films then your probably going to like this one too, i know i did. :)
