Gregorovich Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 I was just wondering if the PoP theme was definitely finished with, as there are no new sets in 2011. I for one will be very disappointed if it's finished, because it had so many amazing new parts and figures. Although it seems as though it is finished, I'm wondering whether there's going to be another film, seeing as this one was had a subtitle(the Sands of Time). So, does anyone have any answers? Thanks! tin7_creations Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Last year was all about LEGO/Disney Toy Story and Prince of Persia. But LEGO/Disney has moved on; they are now releasing Cars and Pirates of the Caribbean. The Prince of Persia license won't continue, as I doubt there will be any new movies seeing how the first one bombed. There were huge clearances for the sets during Christmas since sales didn't do too well with these sets. I got the entire line for $120 during clearance sales. ~tin7_creations Quote
Big Cam Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 The only chance would be with the release of another movie or maybe a cartoon series, they need something to base out off of. I say for now it's dead. Quote
j30spiff Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Although I was slightly interested in the Prince Of Persia line when it was first released, there was nothing about the line that stood out for me. It had an Indiana Jones feel to it and I know it's not fair because they're two completely different themes but that's what it reminded me of. I think Prince of Persia had good potential as a movie with multiple sequels and with LEGO but it flat out bombed. Quote
Harrypotterfreak Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 yes, i believe it is. LEGO made no real big deal of the theme, and it didn't sell too well. Quote
