davidmull Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Just wondering where would I get a minifigure for my 8043'id like a construction man ,also is technic min figures bigger than normal Lego figures? Quote
RockeTeK Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 (edited) The minifgures for Technic were only issued some years ago. They are about twice or tripple the size of a "regular" minifg. Technic figs can be found in some of the 82xx and/or 88xx sets issued before 2003. Since the 8043 is rather small compared to other Technic Flagship models, I doubt that a Technic fig will actually fit in there. Edited February 16, 2011 by RockeTeK Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Some shops on Bricklink might have the one you are looking for: Check this! Quote

It works if you move the seat down by one stud! You can see the result here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/59338901@N08/5428749790/ Quote
JopieK Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 they were called Action Figures as I can remember. I had a snow set among others that included an action man. Quote
BrickDemon Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I have this one in it.. it replaces the power miner I had in it before.. Quote
Ralph_S Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Even before I saw grindinggears' picture of a 'Technic Action man', I would have figured 8043 is about the right size for them. Their height makes them about scale 1/20, which is quite a bit smaller than most of the MOCs people seem to use them with. They were introduced as part of the Technic Arctic line in 1986. I still have about a dozen of the figures -which I bought when I was a child- and still quite like them. Cheers, Ralph Quote
Plastic Nurak Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 In a toy store in Sassari central zone there's still on sale an action figure set of about 10 years ago: http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=8300-1 I was thinking of buy it. Quote
davidmull Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 I still can't seem to find a construction man figure in that larger size! Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 (edited) Construction man? You mean in an orange overall? Guess you didn't find one because there anren't any.. The figure in the blue overall is quite "contsruction-ish"? Edited February 18, 2011 by JunkstyleGio Quote
DLuders Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 smartlego posted this image on his Flickr photostream. From left to right, the figures are "duplo, minifig, duplo bricks, fabuland, Jack Stone, technic, very old bricks, knight and bionicle": Quote
RohanBeckett Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 First one is Basic... as is the 3rd... there are no Duplo figs there at all the old style brick-built person (Homemaker) is modified a bit.. they never came with legs like that.. although it's a pretty good mod.. using only parts that would have existed in the 70's! I'm sure some avid collector would have a photo of *all* figures, in one shot... RB Quote
Mtx Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 (edited) I use my sigfig tech012 in some photos. Some examples: Tech012&8042_1 Tech012&8042_2 Tech012&8043_3 I didn't want to modify my set, so the feets are little bit high. Edited February 18, 2011 by Mtx Quote

Plastic Nurak Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 (edited) The only one I've got is postioned into my old venerable #8820: Uhmmm... and if I write a little review of this set ? Edited February 19, 2011 by Plastic Nurak Quote
DLuders Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Karf Oohlu posted a picture of the "Tech Family" on his Flickr photostream: "Meet the Techs -- Mum and Dad Tech and little Nick. Little Nick will eventually grow into his adult neck, especially once dad stops trying to strangle him : D " I am unable to post the image here, so you'll have to go to the Flickr link above to check them out. Tobbe Arnesson Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 The Fabuland-heads fit onto the Technic-figs: Some of the Belville-figs also use the same head-connection. Quote
