Nice job there mahjga, very accurate.

I can't wait to see what other smilies we get in smilie pack 2!! :)

Jon.

Just imagine... Microsoft Smilie Pack 2... hmmm :D ;)

Thanks Apo & Mahjqa!!! I can't wait to see what you come up with for smilie pack 2. I know that you don't really want to go the fbtb smilie route, but a vader would be awesome. A Christmas (Santa) smilie would also be pretty cool for this time of year! :') ;)

The new light-up figs are going to be great! But why the same tie again? Can Lego not change it or make it in a different color like light grey and black or dark grey? This is the same tie we have been issued in like 4 sets now. |-/

Well, the saber looks ok but it could be a bit better. Of course it looks fun but not very attractive.

This is only darths though, maybe the others are different.

Awesome smiley Mahjqa! :)

I don't like the new lightsaber much either. While the light-up feature is cool the new handle looks too big and chunky. The figure itself looks restricted too.

The arm and the saber are one part (ie hand is non-movable). The arm can move, but only in about 90-100 degrees angle (not above head and there is small bit of plastic on saber's handle to prevent it go 'backwards'). The hand/saber is light enough, the battery is hidden in the body. Hips and body are one part.

Its sad that lego have tried to copy someone elses idea and whats worse is that it isnt as good.

Who did they copy? Do you have a link? I just want to see how someone else did this.

Thanks ;)

If the hand is un-moveable, how can we make them duel? It doesn't bother me that much, it's just a but annoying.

Jindroush, how do you get to the battery to replace it once it runs out?

Brickmodder's minifigs seem a lot better :/ You can see him time to time on Freelug's chat.

Whatever, the saber don't attract me at all *sick*

use the force... ;)

IMO something like Brickmodders would have been better, these are inside the actual normal hilt and look just as good when lit. The brick built bilt looks too big and out of scale in the figd hand :/

The hand (I'm talking about that usually yellow movable thing) is unmovable, but in slight angle, so two sabres can cross. The angle is cca 25-30 degrees from vertical when looking into the fig's face.

Re: the battery replacement, I don't think it was made for it. Probably very handy guys can open the critter, but definitely it was not the intent |-D So I assume few hundred clicks and... dark.

Re: the problematic design:

a) the minifigs hands are the same for Star Wars (sabre) and the policeman (lantern) = cheaper

b) this design is fool proof, you can't simply break the wires inside the arm, because they won't let you.

c) don't forget who's the intended age group (3-7 years old boys)

Well it's good that the lightsabers can cross, but not good that the batteries can't be changed. But I guess you could just phone up Lego and they would send you a new one.
