Jelle Ruben Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Hello, I'm using LDD 4. I am builing in Universe mode. If I select a railroad. Then is the color of the brick the same. I want that the brick under railway dark grey, en de railroad light grey. Is this posible? Or can I turn the color filter off? Quote
AndyC Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 The railway track, in physical bricks, is a single moulded piece of plastic so the rails are always the same colour as the sleepers (the brick parts that connect the rail). LDD carries this into the digital world, so a rail track piece will always be in one colour. A lot of train builders improve the look by adding coloured tiles on top, you can probably find some good ideas for this in the Train Tech forum. Quote
Jelle Ruben Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 (edited) Okay thanks for your explanation. But it is true, that in Universe mode you can't turn off the color filter? In Design by me and mindstorms can I # choose for "Remove filter" And that option is going in Universe mode. Edited January 2, 2011 by Jelle Ruben Quote
AndyC Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 In Universe mode the 'Color Filter' works slightly differently. It just chooses what colour all the bricks in the left hand pane will be, which is the default colour when you insert them. Since you can repaint any brick in any colour, there would be no point showing every combination in the brick palette the way it does in DbM mode. That means you can't turn off the 'filter' because it isn't really acting like a filter at all. Quote
