ldcfan Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Does anybody know how to dismantle the servo block (steering unit) of the Lego Dirt Crusher (#8369)? After taking out all of the screws, I have the problem that I cannot remove the rubber elements where the transverse control arms are hinged. Are they glued to the servo housing, or can they be removed without destroying them? I would be grateful to anybody who has already dismantled the steering unit and can provide a short explanation of the process. Thanks in advance! Quote
TheTechnicKiwi Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 I have no idea but why would you want to pull it apart in the first place? i'd never do something like that (although i'm thinking of dismantling an M-motor but it wont work, I think the cable is broken) Quote
SNIPE Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 (edited) Hi, Can you provide some images so I can get an idea of how it is assembled. Beware some stuff can be much harder to put back together especially small stuff that may easily break. Edited December 13, 2011 by SNIPE Quote
DLuders Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 It is unlikely that ldcfan (with only one Eurobricks post, made 5-1/2 years ago) will heed our messages, but this is what he's talking about. The 47871c01 "Electric, RC Racer Steering Assembly with Flexible Superaxles" looks like this: Quote
