Okay, on Brickbeard's Bounty, we see a silhouette of the Imperial Flagship in the background. And it appears that on the Imperial Flagship there is no silhouette of a ship in the background. However, if you look on the back of the box (picture can be found on this link)you can see a silhouette of a ship. The question I have is, what ship is this? It is a Double Masted (triple sail per mast it looks like), square rigged vessel with what appears to be a flag on the rear of the boat, and a much larger than previously seen jib sail of the forward of the boat. At first I thought it was another Flagship, but when looking closer the details were too far off for it to be that. The next ship that would come to mind is the Black Seas Barracuda, and after that the Skull's Eye Schooner. Does this mean that Lego might be re-making one of those ships? I have heard a lot about the pirate line being discontinued in preparation for Pirates of the Caribbean (Honestly I hope that if they do bring that line in, that they will someday continue the more or less original Lego Pirates theme as I find it much better), but this seems to go against that, or at least point to one final release before th big shutdown. Anyways, what are your thoughts on this?

TLG have just added those just for look, there isnt any prove or any kind of possiblility at BSB and SES would be redone again, because they have relased them already in 2001. I dont even think at they will relase those old sets anymore. So, i say at those are just added there just for look and they are nothing but random ship pictures over there.

You mean the LEGO Group re-released the Black Seas Barracuda in 2002?

The 6285 Black Seas Barracuda was originally released in 1989 while the 6286 Skull's Eye Schooner was released in 1993 but has no subsequent re-releases.

What's to say the LEGO Group won't one day released an all new double masted Pirate Ship? :pir-classic:

Captain Becker,

I think you may be right to a degree. Upon closer look I noticed that the silhouette on BB's box was the same from the IF's box and that they are both "unknown" ships. However, Lego is known for their "easter eggs" and I think maybe they do point back or forward, and maybe they were just the early design of the IF at the time, cause it was released a whole year later. Anyways, it was just an interesting thing to look at.

Mister Phes,

I hope they do lol. I also hope that the lego ship I just got (Imperial Flagship) remains the largest for some time, but not forever. And that they continue to release both factions, because until this line of Pirates theme, the Imperials/Armada/Guards have been seriously lacking in both personnel and firepower. One other thing that I hope that they continue, is the Redcoat/British look. I keep hearing that a lot of people want there to be new Armada or Guard (French) ships and themes. But personally the Redcoats look the best... Oh and the Black Seas Barracude was in fact re-released in 2002(link), but it was not re-made, just re-released. The Skull's Eye Schooner was never re-released as far as I am aware though, which stinks cause that's my favorite Pirate ship.
