Hello, I'm new to this forum, and getting into Lego again after 20 years. I'd like to show my first attempt at building a modular house:

I built it to resemble the house of the mayor of an old Dutch or Belgian Town, built around 1800. Roof and second floor can be lifted, but there's no interior as for yet, nor surroundings. Details of the neoclassical facade:

The backside is a bit plainer than the face, for obvious reasons:

To built it, I mainly used parts from set 4954 (easily recognisable, see the little burgundy bricks under the windows) and a lot of other loose parts. More images here.

Very cool! As you said, it looks a lot like the Town Home from the Creator series, but it's a million times better with all the small details

This is really good for a first MOC! I just love all the modular buildings I have been seeing.

Great job, and welcome to Eurobricks! :classic:

Edit: 800th post!

Wow, this is a great first attempt at building a modular house, really very impressive! I actually like the right amount of details you put in the exterior design, not lacking yet not too much either, just right smack in the middle. Very well-done alois! default_thumbup.gif

I really like this, but I think you should tile the stud at the top of the facade. I don't have anything against studs as detailing but in this case you have too many different forms of detail and I think tiles would tie in better with the stone work on the edge of the walls and the overall neo-classic look. Still a very good use of the tan town house pieces.

I ran out of tiles....
