Andrex Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 Howdy! This has been known for sometime, but finally some actual news on the game is out. The article can be read here. I must say, if this is as good as LSW, it has amazing potential! This year's line up for Bionicle is certainly impressive in my opinion. See the first artwork below. Credit goes to www.bzpower.com for the image and for the link to the article. Quote
optimus-convoy Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 It sure looks pretty. I hope it'll have some fun gameplay to back up those nice graphics. With Travelers Tales developing the game, maybe it'll accually be good... 8- Quote
rhymer Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Nice pic and arcticle. I cant wait untill it comes out. Quote
Andrex Posted May 6, 2006 Author Posted May 6, 2006 This time the characters are actually their Lego selves, which I certainly prefer. And yes, the company who is making it should be able to make it really good, as long as they put as much effort into it as they did with LSW. To be honest I completely forgot about this game, but I think I'll be getting a bit more interested over the next few weeks. If it comes out later this year, no doubt more information will be out soon, like screenshots, articles and maybe even a teaser trailer. Besides, E3 is pretty soon! Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 I remember I was the first person on the 'net to reveal this game to LEGO fans (I was first to get Axonn and the ad was on the back. I'm gonna have to look at getting this and LSWII when I can because they'll probably both be excellent games and I'm embroiled in the Bionicle storyline. Quote
Zane Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Whats with the floating Technic bars on the right? This'll be good, I'm sure... -Tilius- Quote
JoeMI6 Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 From what I can remember, the video games I've seen spawned from the Bionicle license have been pretty bad. But of the LSW guys are behind this, it could prove to be excellent, especially if the gameplay is as good as the graphics. I think a free roaming mechanic could work excellently on the islands that bionicle is set in. Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Its almost destined to be brilliant with the LSWII guys working on it. And Toa Jaller looks mighty fine in that picture, even as concept art. And I've got a HECKLOAD of massive screenshot. Yeah. Quote
Andrex Posted May 6, 2006 Author Posted May 6, 2006 Thanks for that Lord Thrawn! I saw the ad in the booklet when I got Axon too, except it was already scanned and up on the net. Are you on BZPower too then? I'm RedXIII on there, I used to post on the forums every day haha! If so I expect we've met before there. I personally liked 'Tales of the Tohunga' despite its flaws, but admittedly the others were far from perfect. With that screenshot, and knowing who is making it, this should be a fine game alongside LSW2. For about a year I went off Bionicle. But now this year I really love it! That screenshot is pretty gorgeous haha, thanks for the huge shot, it is now my desktop wallpaper! Where did you find it anyhow? So any speculations? I remember way back when Bionicle first came out, there was a trailer for a PC game that was cancelled. This picture reminds me very much of that. Maybe some of the elements will be incorporated, such as instructions for all the wildlife you come across. Also, with Vezon and Fenrakk, the Piraka, Axon and Brutaka, Umbra and the NEW TOA, this is destined to be awesome, I can't wait to get exploring on the Island of Doom! Quote
Zane Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Yeah, I though TotT was great. I think this game will please fans.... Quote
Andrex Posted May 6, 2006 Author Posted May 6, 2006 TotT was short but really fun. OK it had a few minor issues, but really it was far too underrated! Ah well, I personally loved it, glad to see you did too *sweet* Quote
Zane Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 I didn't find it too short, and would say the only real bad bit is the fight with the scorpian thing (Not Nui-Jaga). Probably be easy now though. Quote
Andrex Posted May 6, 2006 Author Posted May 6, 2006 Hmm I remember now, it isn't that short but if I remember it was one of the complaints. At least it was official in terms of storyline, characters and the enemies. And the minigames were fun too. Now we must await more screens and info on this new game. BREAKING NEWS! The game website is UP, with screens and a TRAILER, www.bionicleheroes.com check it out! Quote
