lego-maniac Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 (edited) Hi all ! Here is my entry for a French contest. I limited to 3 pics only and I would like your opinion about this pics. I really want to keep the spririt of halloween by using pics in the night but I'm not sure that the moc is understandable ... What do you think about it ? In the small town of Haddonfield, 3 kids in the neighborhood of Suburbia wear their best costumes of Halloween to collect a maximum of sweets in this evening of October 31. walking in Elm Street our three young heroes arrive at the height of No. 237, the home of the Adams. This family has always intrigued and disturbed the community of this neighborhood so peaceful. After a long moment of hesitation, Eliot, driven by the taunts of Edgar and Enzo decides to confront his fear and reap the spoils. But then, even before reaching the top of the strange path leading to the porch a shattering noise was heard and monsters appeared from all sides : - "HAPPY HALLOWEEN KIDS !!!!!!" - "ARGhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!!!!" after that, you could take a look here to have a better view of the moc : Hope you'll enjoy Edited October 18, 2010 by lego-maniac Quote
Milargo Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 (edited) WOAH, that's COOL! Love Halloween, and this moc represents the holiday perfectly, the detail is simply amazing adore the techniques used in the windows! And the witch's lair, fabelhaft. Carved pumpkin in the window, nice touch. And the base is nothin' to scoff at either, look at all that detail in it. Clever use of minifig heads. And the grave rises, along with the skeleton in it, amazing. Really this has to be one of the best Lego creations I've ever seen. Lego, if you don't make this into a set, I'll never forgive you! Happy Halloween indeed! Edited October 18, 2010 by Milargo Quote

XimenaPaulina Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 This is such a great Haloween MOC! You really captured the spooky atmosphere but at the same time with a funny twist as well. I love all the details you've put in there (lighting effect, witch scene, even the leave-less tree is scary-looking). And I see the spidey kid is nearing puberty with his facial hair eh? Anyways, impressive overall job lego-maniac! Quote
lego-maniac Posted October 19, 2010 Author Posted October 19, 2010 Thanks a lot for your comments ! Do you think that thoss pics looks great for the contest ? According to the video, it's not really easy in 3 pics to give all the spirit of the vig but I'm still not sure of the dark pics, even if it's really close to halloween spirit ! arghhhhh :) Quote

You managed to get decent shots even in a such a dark environment and at the same time giving it the Halloween feel. I think the crispness of the photos could still be improved, though I don't know how since I'm not an expert in photography. Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 I like it! The light in the windows is great! Quote

I agree, these dark pictures really capture the spirt of the holiday, but maybe you could give a little more light (to improve crispness and visibility) and then and some shadowing around the edges of the pictures and adjust the image saturation and brightness, to retain the Halloween feel.
