Sir Dillon Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Sorry if this is the wrong place, but I thought it might go here, being a pirate ship. I saw this on brickshelf, and really liked it, so I thought I'd share it with you. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=177806 Though it looks a little strange, the squat shape of it is starting to grow on me. I also really like the way he used those jumper plates on the sides. Overall the ship reminded me of one of those Gun Boats from the US Civil War. Quote
Norro Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 Interesting find... the shape does grow on you- slowly ;-) God Bless, Nathan Quote
Starwars4J Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 Very interesting. I love the shape, and the way the bolts are shown. Are those "windows" actually mirror stickers? Quote
john cleese Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 I saw this this morning i think its wonderful! It would make for an awsome set if adventurers did a kind of steampunkish victorian pirate line. Quote
Evil Willy Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 It looks awsome, im really pleased to see my decendents are still at it! Although im sure a ship like the Lotus would destroy it yesterday. I loved the look of it, the smokestack, the interior, and just the build itself. I really have to start building again...Havnt been at it for a while, my LEGO's are slowly gathering dust here behind me. Quote
Janus Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 Very clever. I wish I could think of stuff like this. Quote
Athos Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 Quite cool. I might steel (pun intended) that design for use in one of my stories :D Steve Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted April 24, 2006 Governor Posted April 24, 2006 This MOC is a very interesting amalgamation of history and science fiction, Mr Cleese would probably argue but to me this resembles a Steam Punk interpretation of a futuristic Pirate ship. Its like an old iron clad moved into the the future... We know what an iron clad is don't we? Quote
