According to an interview published in today's Metro newspaper, actor Paul Rudd is an AFOL: linkety link.

I don't know if there's a dedicated thread about celebrity AFOLs. If there is, I apologise for starting this new thread.

Amps

Link doesn't work for me.

What other celebrities? I read David Beckham is building the Taj Mahal, and when that was published it boosted sales by like 300%.

Edit: http://finance.yahoo.com/career-work/article/110447/6-companies-thriving-in-the-recession:

6. Lego

Last year was a tough year for toy companies - except for Lego. During 2009, when most companies were holding tight to ride out the recession storm, Lego's profits soared 63%. Exploration of the global market was the key to this company's recession-bucking success. While the U.S. had a stagnant toy market, Lego was able to expand to Asia and increase its sales in Europe, bringing in the big bucks. For a recent surprise addition to Lego's profit: after a recent interview where British soccer star David Beckham admitted he was building a Lego Taj Mahal during his down time, sales soared 663% - proof that sometimes free celebrity endorsement is the best profit boost of all.

No luck editing the automatic censor replaces female canine by female canine

What weird skill or quality do you have?

I love Lego and I still play with it too much. My son is five and I love it more than he does.

No luck editing the automatic sensor replaces female canine by female canine

Understood... and able to read after editing the URL.

Why is this site censored when it's supposed to be for adults?

Seems there was a filter replacing "bitch" by "female canine". Was that the problem?

I've now disabled it. Bitch, bitch, bitch, bithchy, ... see it works

Don't know if this deserves a thread of its own-- after all, it makes more sense to put it with other mentions so people can find it, even if there's not yet a "celebrity AFOL" topic. But anyway, the news: according to Kotaku, Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi is an AFOL. The MOCs they feature in the article mainly consist of some gorgeous microscale work-- photo number three is my personal favorite in terms of creative part use, but the fifth photo isn't bad either.

There are plenty more photos to be found browsing around here-- this post in particular has some amusing mini-models.
