Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted March 1, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted March 1, 2007 Nice little fortress. Amazing what you can build on such a small plate. Some epaulets of the minifigs should be switched. The ones with the shako's should have the red ones (for historical reasons). Once I have sorted all my bricks, I'll try to make a small fort myself. Captain Roger Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 is really nice i like that MOC...the building is great....personally i prefer soldiers with red eppaulettes(like the originals) but is only a personal preference...in any case is a nice MOC anyway Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 1, 2007 Author Governor Posted March 1, 2007 Once I have sorted all my bricks, I'll try to make a small fort myself. That's a marvellous idea! We should all make small forts don't you think? As for the fort under discussion, wouldn't it be nice if there was a larger image in the first post? ;-) Quote

BaronSat Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 The image is a thumbnail so click on it to see a larger image[/b] I like this kind of models a lot, small but with a lot of places. And it looks cosy too... no kidding. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 1, 2007 Author Governor Posted March 1, 2007 It certainly would! Picture added! ;-) Excellent work No. 1 (I'll call Bonaparte No. 2 X-D ) I like this kind of models a lot, small but with a lot of places. And it looks cosy too... no kidding. Would you consider living there Baron Sat? Quote

Scouty Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Poor Mister Phes, no posts till almost a year later :( . This is a good fort. I guess I'm a fan for buildings with two or more floors. I've got a fort built with three 'floors'. Dock, Main Level, and Top Floor. Quote
BaronSat Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Excellent work No. 1 (I'll call Bonaparte No. 2 X-D )Would you consider living there Baron Sat? I'd love to. Just add an heliport for the postman so I can have my Lego orders. A satellite for the DSL. A submarine for fishing oysters a drugstore and maybe a bridge could be usefull too and... Anyway that makes me want to try to mix several sets as you did. It's cool. Quote
Captain Roger Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Well, they guy on the tower has red eppaulettes, and the guy on top of the jail also has them...Mr Tiber Yeah...but i talked about the soldiers, and the guy on the tower havs a higher rank i think Quote
Norrington Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Well Captain Rodger, perhaps his army dosn't have red on their line infantry, after all, red would therefore need to be more numerous, and red empulettes are pretty rare. SO therefore it would seem more logical for the people there are more of to get a more common color (Soldiers with Yellow) and the less common to have the less common color (Officers with red). Some people's collections are somewhat limited, like mine, in the meaning I only have Imperial sets. BUT a strong army and navy ;-) Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 3, 2007 Author Governor Posted March 3, 2007 Poor Mister Phes, no posts till almost a year later :( . This thread was in storage so nobody could post in it anyway. But now its out and free for all to see, do you have any thoughts on this fort Mr ImperialScouts? This is a good fort. I guess I'm a fan for buildings with two or more floors. I've got a fort built with three 'floors'. Dock, Main Level, and Top Floor. Where's the work in progress thread? :) I'd love to. Just add an heliport for the postman so I can have my Lego orders. A satellite for the DSL. A submarine for fishing oysters a drugstore and maybe a bridge could be usefull too and... Errr... I don't think you can make those changes to historic buildings these days.... Although this one probably doesn't have a Heritage Listing... Anyway that makes me want to try to mix several sets as you did. It's cool. That's definitely something you should try, especially if they're Pirate sets X-D Quote
BaronSat Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 That's definitely something you should try, especially if they're Pirate sets X-D What I really like is the island idea, my favourite set was the 6270 Forbidden Island. I just have to find what other set could be add to make something new... maybe the 6249 Pirates Ambush... this set wasn't available in France so that could be interesting? Quote

But now its out and free for all to see, do you have any thoughts on this fort Mr ImperialScouts? Ah, I see. I very much like this fort. It's nice. Kind of like the Imperial Outpost. Where's the work in progress thread? :) Non-existent. It's already finished. It's the same one from that Broken Base thread I made many ages ago. It's in my movie, so I don't want to reveal it. But once the movie is out, I am going to make a thread about this one. But to say something, it isn't like many forts with white bricks. Quote

I just have to find what other set could be add to make something new... maybe the 6249 Pirates Ambush... this set wasn't available in France so that could be interesting? Apparently 6249 Pirates Ambush was only released in Northern America and since it was only available for a year (wheras previously most pirate sets had been available for 3 years) that makes it extra rare. Baron Sat, do you already own a 6249 Pirates Ambush or is that something you'll need to acquire? Quote

And I remember I saw it when I was in Canada in 1997 but din't bought it... Baron Sat, do you already own a 6249 Pirates Ambush or is that something you'll need to acquire? But never mind I generally manage to build with the "few" stock I have ( ;-) ) if ever I need some parts I'll ask to the Pirate brotherhood... I mean all of you *sweet* Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 8, 2007 Author Governor Posted March 8, 2007 And I remember I saw it when I was in Canada in 1997 but din't bought it... How long ago was this? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 8, 2007 Author Governor Posted March 8, 2007 He never specified where he saw it though. If it were at a garage sale or market then it might have been a lot more recently. Quote

Tully Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 There is a lot of nice creations now! If only there was a instruction page, we could see how people are making these!! (Now there's an idea...) Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 28, 2007 Author Governor Posted March 28, 2007 The only problem is not everyone keeps a record of how they've been building their MOCs and not everyone has the time to go back and make instructions for them. However... The idea has some merit as there are MOCs with instructions so we might as well collect them together for the benefit of others. Quote
