-zenn Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I wondered what the uniform colors stand for? Such as red = command, yellow = engineering, white = medical, blue = science, black = operations. Or am I watching too much Star Trek. Quote
Artanis I Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Haha probably too much Star Trek! I tend to separate them into groups of the same colour. Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I thought red was for engineering in ye old Star Trek ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Captain Bayonet Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 According to the Neo Classic Space rules, Red is for pilots and White is for Ground Crew NCS Rules Here's a link to the rules. Quote
KDog Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Back in 1978, I think it was: Red - USSR White - USA Quote
Forresto Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I think I've also been watching too much Star Trek of late. However I do think the original designer probably had some idea of what the colors stood for. Maybe he even had inspiration from The original Star Trek series, it would'nt really surprise me. Star Trek has had a huge cultural impact on many things (The military designs their command centers based off of the basic layout of the original USS Enterprise's bridge). Quote
charlieboy Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 (edited) After checking out every classic space set on brickfactory, I can safely say they are completely random, there doesnt seem to be any particular job for any one colour. All are used for piloting ships, driving moon buggies, manning space stations etc... Edited September 5, 2010 by charlieboy Quote
Legostein Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Hello! When I was younger, classic space was just running out, and Futurons were rising. Excpet for not having a complete white uniform any longer, the colour scheme of the figures is the same as for classic space. I usually applied the Star Trek uniform guide as well. However when you compare the classic space figures and the Futurons, you can see a change in availability of the colours. For example the red uniform was the most common in classic space sets while for Futurons the red uniform was very rare and only appeared in one regular set (not including the minifg pack). So I agree with charlieboy that there probably is no obvious system behind uniform colour and function. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
