BillytheKid Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 (edited) I wanted to show you some pictures of my layout. So you can see what the progress is. I'm also known as Panda in the past, but changed it in AFOL12v. A bit boring, but it shows I'm a AFOL of 12v trains . I'm less active with Lego then in the past, mainly by work and other priority's. It's mainly Legoland sets which is combined to a nice layout. I collect mainly 12v trains, but this need to be decorated with town sets offcourse. So I think in this topic would be the right place to show it. Enough chitchat, time for pic. Click on the pic's to get a bigger one. I bought set 4899 and it remembers at set 6608: The back wheels are to big for a little tractor: I think it's one of the best sets of the city line: A little joke of mine, which it is the original one : Very glad, the airport is getting shape. I bought one, but in bad condition and the wrong roadplates. I bought the right ones and I found the cargo plane 6375 (which I had sold) at a meeting. Here you can see how I store my parts for building projects. Still need to modify the Emerald train for 12v. You can also see I start to build a sailship. It's the Black Hawk of Captain Redbeard, known in dutch comic books. More info you will find in future in the pirate section: I think I take an another bus or train: Something I'm proud of and invented myself, the 9v control where I can control all 9v battery sets: And offcourse the beloved Fiat Panda is also present in my layout and is well protect by Jedi and high rank clonetroopers: Lets see the layout itself. Also a new addition, set 6054 Forestmen's Hideout: The parking place of too many trains: Just give you an idea how the layout looks like: I love that windmill: Nice an army of spartans. There are sold already : I don't know, but I guess most minifigs still don't like spongebob: Here you see where the most of the Starwars and trains are place. Space is rare when you have no space anymore : I hope you enjoyed these pic's. As soon there are changes, I will place more pic's. All train stuff you will find in the train section. Interesting to see clones guarding Fiat's - what ? Cool control panel too ! Keep on adding......I'm a conformist! 'AFOL12v' really I'm a conformist! ! Quote
BillytheKid Posted August 17, 2010 Author Posted August 17, 2010 (edited) Excellent collection 'AFOL12v' Thx, it's a result of 7 years collecting lego and offcourse a bit luck. Interesting to see clones guarding Fiat's - what ? A Fiat Panda, my car : And a small update: 29 Spartan soldiers. 21 are already sold . Didn't expect to sell it that fast...... BillytheKid Posted November 26, 2010 Author Posted November 26, 2010 Finally a green Lego Panda . Green color is not the most common color. You can see the real model a post before. Many thx for the person who designed this model, found it somewhere at brickshelf. Can this person also make a model of a Renault Twingo for me ........... Quote
BillytheKid Posted December 21, 2010 Author Posted December 21, 2010 Just bought set 7285. I love those 4wide cars and German Shepherds. Only those wheels aren't good for the looks. I replaced , by part for a better look. This is the original design of LEGO itself: And the modified version of myself: Quote
freeedrik Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Impressive layout! I want to have that many fantastic old expensive trains! Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Very cool layout AFOL 12V! Massive! Love the custom touches like the extended cargo train crane and the way you routed the 12v wires through "telephone" power poles. Is it possible to get a pic of the entire layout? Keep up the good work! Quote
Brickviller Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Very cool and big layout (although bigger is always cooler ) All those little jokes inside of it, like the spongebob figure makes me laugh Quote
BillytheKid Posted January 6, 2011 Author Posted January 6, 2011 How cool is this for a AFOL : It has 2GB of storage. Enough music for mine parrot radio, which has no CDplayer anymore : Quote
nicoga3000 Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Very cool! Question - is that windmill from 7747 Wind Turbine Transport? Quote
BillytheKid Posted January 8, 2011 Author Posted January 8, 2011 (edited) No, it's the vestas windmill 4999. Only I've connected mine at an 9v trainregulator and it has flashing light at the top. Edited January 8, 2011 by AFOL12v Quote
BillytheKid Posted March 20, 2011 Author Posted March 20, 2011 I found that sets like 10041, 4553 and 1029 have curling stickers. I replaced those with ones where I leave the stickers on the sheet and used selftape to place it on the bricks. Hopefully this works. Only bad I lost stickers form set 10170. Quote
BillytheKid Posted May 10, 2011 Author Posted May 10, 2011 Lego is a bit slow at the moment. Parts are dripping in, to build a brigde in my layout. This is where the train has to run above: Here you can see the brigde is getting shape: This is the stadium sofar: Most work will be the building for climbing and going down of the train. We'll see what problems I will get into. Quote
Vindicare Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Nice city you've got there. I like the airplane taking off, never thought of that, oddly enough. How many battle droids are on that shelf?! Quote
Legoist Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Nice layout! I like how you bundled the cables into some kind of aerial line! Have you made a yellow version of the red 7725 electric passenger train from the 80s over there? Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 How cool is this for a AFOL : It has 2GB of storage. Enough music for mine parrot radio, which has no CDplayer anymore : Nice USB card! I like that ...and I like the layout too Quote
BillytheKid Posted May 11, 2011 Author Posted May 11, 2011 Have you made a yellow version of the red 7725 electric passenger train from the 80s over there?Yes it is. I made also a blue and a black version of it: Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 (edited) No, it's the vestas windmill 4999. Only I've connected mine at an 9v trainregulator and it has flashing light at the top. I own this windmill too, may I see the flashing light at the top? Edited May 11, 2011 by LEGO Train 12 Volts Quote
BillytheKid Posted May 11, 2011 Author Posted May 11, 2011 You can find everything about mine windmill in this topic. I've uploaded a movie, which can take some time to download it. Quote
BillytheKid Posted May 25, 2011 Author Posted May 25, 2011 (edited) It's beginning taking shape, the brigde project. I can say a lot, but pictures say more . The first climbup is done. A 4,5v train is climbing up slowly. I hope the 12v trains have more power to get up easily. The brigde itself which is almost finished. And everybody's problem, always short on parts . The first expense I do is a lpg-installation in my Renault Twingo. Fuelprices are very high at the moment and it will only get more expensive. Then I order slowly some more parts to finish the brigde project. I need to add the red carriage somehow in mine layout. Any ideas form you people? Edited May 25, 2011 by AFOL12v Quote
BillytheKid Posted June 2, 2011 Author Posted June 2, 2011 A little update. The first ramp is connected to the track and the 12v trains are climbing up very easily, where the 4,5v train has little trouble to climbing up. I can't wait to finish the brigde. Quote
BillytheKid Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 The traintrack is connected, but still unsafe to use the brigde for the train right now: And I bought the big truck of cars. It will be the only sets of cars together with Classic Mater. I realize it's a bit form everything of the theme's of LEGO. I need to organize it and make choices to keep it logic. Quote
BillytheKid Posted June 29, 2011 Author Posted June 29, 2011 Slowly & steadily the brigde is getting there as designed: And also finished is this shell tanktruck with stickers: Also in Exxon version: And this is the orginal version: Quote
BillytheKid Posted October 10, 2011 Author Posted October 10, 2011 I made something funny. Pic's say more than 1000 words :D : Set 6678 Set 6678 with link treads: This is how's made: Quote
