Canada they are 2.86$ at Wal-Mart, so no, no price increase. However, I found the dots aren't all that useful. Too many different dot combinations for each fig and the dots are so hard to see that feeling is the better way to go, at least for me it was. I thought I had 4 Samurai and 4 elves yesterday, turns out I had five elves and three samurai. Sometimes being wrong is good.

Its been discussed many times that series 3 is available at target.

I don't check that thread for availability issues, so I posted here. If this thread doesn't serve a purpose then feel free to lock it or merge it with an existing topic.

Found an elf and fisherman today.

Feeling the bags is really EASY for elves. The SHIELD is very easy to guess, the bow too! I started using dotcodes, but then I stopped as this is so easy.

I went to three shops and with 13.50€ I got 9 Elves.

With 60€ more Euros, I got 2x of every single minifig: I bought a box for €90 with a friend, and shared the figs inside.

I think I will go for 5-6 mummies over the two I got, and then I'm done with series 3 and look forward for werevolves in series 4.

First of all I'm not sure if I'm going to fully complete series 3, as I didn't even wanted to have some in previous series,

so not having all 16 of them either. Still I hope to get as many as possible.

A few days ago I bought 8 packs and I got;

- Tribal Chief

- Samurai

- Female Snowboarder

- Mummy (somehow I got 2 mummies by mistake)

- Female Tennis Player

- Gorrila suit Guy

- Baseball Player

I'm still missing one of my fav.: the Hula Dancer ofcourse.

But I'm also looking for; Elf, Race car Driver, Space Villan and Rapper.

Maybe I will get a Fisherman, a Pilot, a Space Alien and Sumo Wrestler in the end (in that order of most wanted).

We'll see what the development of that will bring me in the near future.

It's a bummer that you won't get any spare parts, so far I know series 3 is not release with those familier spare parts.

One more thing here where I live (Belgium) the prices DIDN'T rise a bit  so I don't understand why they did that elsewhere *huh*

"This time I want it all"

Today I just gave it another try. I went to the same shop as last time/week. My goal was to get atleast 1 Hula Dancer and 1 Elf. When I walked into the store I heard this song that's known by the name "This Time" Still with the goal in my mind I went to the Lego section and when I was almost near I saw 1 nearly empty box. Only 1 pack left. And I was like "NO!" But when I bent my knees a little (the box was placed on a lower part of the rack). Lucky me, there was another box just behind it. I grabbed the first pack and started to look at the dots. Than I felt to be sure, because it was the Baseball Player, which I already had. I keept on going and I placed the near empty box on a bit higher part of the rack so I could put those in there to keep them apart from the others. I felt a Tribal Chief and some more Baseball Players. Untill I felt these Maracas (same as the Mariachi in series 2 but recoloured). Yes I got myself the Hula Girl. It was like the 3rd or 4th pack I tried. So on to the Elf. Suddenly I rememberd the song I heard "This time I want it all", not being sure it was still playing while I was feeling and searching for specific lego parts to define the minifigs I wanted. But when I realized I did remember I was like; oh well, let just get all 16. This time I want THEM all.

So next I found a Pilot, Space Villan and Alien, Race car Driver (was kinda hard the helmet and visior are so much like the Villan, so I tried if I could find the laser gun and if not, only than I could be sure it was not the Space Villan. Even though the Race guy got an extra hair piece, I couldn't find it.) Than I could not believe my fingers when I finaly felt the Elf's shield, I even almost pushed it out of the package to see it's full shape. And I even keept on 'looking' for the quiver (bow). And I did found it, so I was more than 100% sure it was the Elf. And the funny thing about when I found the Fisherman was I first though the piece I felt the first was a baseball bat, but it had those spikey things on the bottom, so it could not be a Baseball Player. Than I looked closely at the box where all the minifig are printed on and thought what could this be, while I kept looking for more specific pieces. And while I felt the fishing rod my eye felt on the Fisherman the same time.

So in the end it was realy fun to feel trough those packs/baggs (or what ever to call them) and now I got my collectable minifigures series 3 complete!! (with a spare mummy, but it's fun to keep with the Pharaoh I got from series 2)

Edit: @ Itaria No Shintaku;

Im also very much looking forward for the werewolfs in the next serie (which got the same hair piece as the Elf but brown coloured)

Thanks,my neibour and I always used to feel in the previous series, but then we figured out about the bar codes so we used that. I printed out the dot sheet and found not very usefull. Thanks though! :classic:

I did used to dot system on my first 'attempt' but I found out when I deside to get them all it wasn't so accurate and usefull. So times when I felt trough the bag I felt the same pieces (e.g.: baseball bat and alien hat piece) but the dot (patern) was realy different. So from now on I would say: "To feel = to see = to know" So feel to know what's realy inside.

That is a good thing to say; "To feel=to see= to know"

I finally laid my hands on them!

There were only 3 stores stocking previous series: two tiny toyshops and Tesco. I didn't felt good at the toyshop cause the space was veery limited and the shopkeeper kept sending me looks with mixture of amusement and suspiciousness as I was checking the codes . So naturally I decided to buy 3rd series in Tesco. And I waited and waited and no sign of them. So I have no choice than to go to the toyshop. The shopkeeper even recognised me . I picked 5 without any feeling the bags or checking the dots.

I got: Fisherman (x2), Space Villain (x2) and Gorilla. I'm not happy about the doubles, but tommorrow I'm going for more!

Which branch or Argos is this???

D

It was the Argos in the New Cross Shopping Centre, in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire Scotland. There's also anotherArgos just a very short while away, but I'm not sure they do the label thing. :sceptic:

I'm wondering if I should get any other doubles of this serie.

Any suggestions (besides Elf or Gorilla suit Guy) ?

Or should I wait for the next series?

I purchased a few additional mummies because I plan to add to the Pharaoh's Quest theme. It all depends on what you like and what you plan on using them for.

I agree. I purchased a few tennis and baseball players so I could make a sports store. :classic:

I was thinking about making a baseball team, but what to use as baseball glove and is there a Lego baseball?

That would realy be awesome. I was wondering why it wasn't include with the collectible Baseball player. Or atleast the ball.

Maybe I will get another Tennis Player to get her an opponent. Or even better, get 3 more to make it a double.

Just give them other head + hair pieces to make them all look different. But then how would I do the male torso...

Or to solve this I would let it be a full ladies double tennis team.

Another great idea just popped in my head. What if I get me 2 more Race car Drivers and make this stage nummerd 1, 2 and 3

and make them stand on it. But I'm lacking a silver trophy, which I dont got yet (Soccer player in series 4 has, including the black fes piece!).

Or just use the golden trophy from the Karate Guy in series 2 and give 2 and 3 some money piece and flowers

I love the mumies, so much printing for one fig.

Of my 45 that I grabbed out of 2 boxes, I'm atoked. I forget the number of everything but I managed to get

6 mummies (I love them)

4 Fisherman ( I know these are going for alot on Bricklink)

3 Elves (Also worth quite a bit on bricklink)

And then of course various others, I managed to get zero aliens which is fine becasue I don't like them, but I also didn't get any female snowboarders which I would have liked. $135 well spent. :sweet:

Bricklink prices are just hype while series 3 are still available in stores - Elves and fisherman are two of the easiest figures to feel out, there's no reason for people to pay more at this time. For sold out items, BL can be a decent indicator of relative cost.

I know, but being a collector, and not planning to buy any more of series 3, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy, mainly because it's been shown that these are rarer than other figs, with only 2-3 being in a sealed box.

Just bought a complete set for £39 including shipping on BrickLink. This works out at only £7 more than a complete set would cost me in the stores if I knew what I was buying in each bag. The prices dont seem that high...

Ok, so I got motivated to make a Luau using the Hula Dancer, and it occurs to me... I don't recall ever seeing a Hula Dancer use Maracas (I've seen the occasional one with gourds that sound like Maracas, but never Maracas).

So just to make sure it "technically" is a Hula Dancer, I head on over to LEGO.com, click on "Products" and then "Minifigures."

Guess what... on their "wheel of minifigures," there was NO HULA DANCER!!!

I discovered their wheel of minifigures only has 12, and when you reload it there will always be four random ones missing.

Edit: I need BrickForge to make a Ukulele.

Series 3 has just arrived in my town in Somerset, UK.

I could barely see the dots so I just picked one at random and that turned out to be the pilot. He's not high on my list but he has a unique torso so that's ok.

The staff were very helpful and even offered me a print-out of which dots were for which minifigs but it was way too hard. Then one of the staff said that he'd felt an elf shield in one of the packs, which was nice of him :sweet:

Now, how long until I go back for more?!

I have finally gotten all 16 different figures. I succeeded in getting 14 different before I broke down and “cheated” with a dot identifier. I’m not all that fond of extras, I got enough tennis players for a double, but they are fine LEGO figures, and they will probably come in handy at some point. This new dot system, although it has fewer marks, is a lot harder for me to spot than the old barcodes. If series 4 is the same I’ll probably “cheat” earlier to avoid doubles.

Kind of funny how this series doesn’t have any celebrity lookalikes like series 1’s Errol Flynn and series 2’s Pamela Anderson. It’s always nice to see new pieces though.
