RocketClone Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 In 1997 Rareware released a game that would change the way FPS's (and how gamers viewed them) were made, that game was goldeneye. Even though the game is 13 years old and the graphics haven't held up well, the game still hasn't aged one bit. And this fall gamers will have the same experience that they had 13 years ago with the release of a new Goldeneye game exclusively for the Wii. So discuss all about it here! Quote
Dunjohn Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Goldeneye is one of my favourite Bonds so I was a bit surprised to hear that the programmers would be replacing Brosnan with Craig for the update. It felt wrong. However, I've since changed my mind; GoldenEye is about James Bond, not Pierce Brosnan. Who plays him isn't important. These days he looks like Craig. It's the same Bond. Gameplaywise, as long as they don't tinker with too much I see no problems with it being rereleased. There are sections that could be improved - graphics, number of players et cetera. Those are fair game. Just so long as it's still GoldenEye at the end. Quote
RocketClone Posted August 9, 2010 Author Posted August 9, 2010 The developer of the game this time around is Eurocom (who made 007 nightfire) , and in an interview with Nintendo power they stated that they would change the end of the frigate level to where after you plant the tracking bug, the helicopter chases you through the frigate. And I agree with you about the whole bond situation, i could care less about which bond they're using as long as the gameplay is great. Quote
The Legonater Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 (edited) Hmm... I think I might of actually have played this one. It was a first-person shooter, right? Edited August 10, 2010 by The Legonater Quote
