Asilla Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Hi there. This is the first ship I have ever made, its made from bit and pieces I had. Some of it is from set 6493, I made the sail from some fabric - its free fantasy Quote
Orcasek Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 This is pretty good, could use some tweaking in some places but other then that. Good job! Quote
Tycho McKorley Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 This is certainly a good start although I think that it could use some improvement to make it a truly *great* MOC. Maybe you could start by finding some way to expand the center so that it doesn't look so "stubby." Quote
ThatGuyWithTheBricks Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 I like it, I like it! You really see potential with your limited selection and I love seeing your MOCs develop. Quote
Brig. Brick Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 its a good start, did you have more pictures? front, back, inside? I have to say that I like the colors that you used, and the detail of the shield.... great! Quote
Asilla Posted July 22, 2010 Author Posted July 22, 2010 Hi all. Thanks for your comments on my ship. I know its kid of small but there is no middle part in that color combo, but I like it small. I want to improve the sail, its not the best, taking more photos later on. Input to improve is very welcome. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Nice li'l ship Asilla! I'm impressed on the diversity of your MOCing skills, you're not just limited to one specific theme. Though I'm not much of a Pirates guy but I think the rear part could use some imporvements, maybe some sort of a captain's deck. But if you really could lengthen the ship more you'll definitely have more rooms to operate and put stuff into. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted July 22, 2010 Governor Posted July 22, 2010 This is the first ship I have ever made, its made from bit and pieces I had. You're doing well then! Your Eurobricks profile says you're into Fabuland and Medieval so its great you've made the effort to branch out into pirates Some of it is from set 6493 I bought a 6493 Flying Time Vessel over eBay just for that grey hull, but then I actually built the Flying Time Vessel and decided I liked enough to put it on display Fortunately I was able to pick up the exact same grey hull pieces on eBay very cheaply. Nobody seemed to bid on that particular auction. Quote
Asilla Posted July 27, 2010 Author Posted July 27, 2010 Hi all. Thanks for your kind comments on my pirate ship. I don't want to make is longer, I like it small. I have done a bit of rework most on the sail, and its better now. I like the colors too, maybe I'll buy another in this color. I don't think I'll ever just build one type or theme, I like to experiment, thats why I love Lego. Lisa Quote
