The LAST installment will be the July issue (third and last) !! Now they tell you to go online !! Excuse me TLC but its NOT the same at all !! First they don't give catalogs in sets, now this >:-( Bloody and crappy cost reduction !! *yoda* Quote

Deinonychus Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 Oh swell...now I'll have to keep Brickmaster just to get the Bionicle comics.. Quote
jonfett Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 Wait, Lego magazine, or S@H? they are stopping the Lego mags !! I am not too bothered about this. I used to get them, but so many pages were filled up with comics and pages from the catalogs anyway.. so I sort of lost interest. Jon. Quote
JoeMI6 Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 This is totally lame. The Lego website is missing so many things that the mag has. The mag has been good to me over the years, it was nice to have some lego related reading. Quote
Biomech Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 LEGO Mag is not stopping, just the French version. See what Greg Farshtey had to say: The LEGO Magazine in France is being discontinued in July (and it does not affect their comic, as they don't get the comic). The US, Canada, Canadian French, UK, Central European, and Netherlands editions are not affected, nor is BrickMaster. In fact, LEGO Magazine is considered a key to LEGO Company's future plans, so it is not going anywhere. Greg Whew. Quote

Kikuichimonji Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 Weird, why only in France? Anyway, I should sign up for the Dutch version...is it worth it? Quote
gusmoore17 Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 Oh my, that are terrible news!!!! Here in Mexico the Lego Magazine doens't exist, but I have a few of them some friends have brought me from US. Pitty!!!! :-/ Quote
natelite Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 is there an online version of the magazine? can someone point me to where that is? i just subscribed for the paper mag so i dont know if i am getting one yet. :/ Quote
Skinny Boy Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 I haven't got my second issue yet but it would be a big mistake to get rid of the Mag. It's great. Thats how TLC got most of its members. No more new members from that kind of way. :-( Quote
xwingyoda Posted April 9, 2006 Author Posted April 9, 2006 prateek, Where does that Greg character gets his infos from ?? Its not that I'm suspicious but he makes two false statements: first, we have comics in our mag, and the French market is really growing. So if it was a "a key to LEGO Company's future plans" why discontinue it in a growing market ?? *yoda* Quote
Peoples_General Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 *vader* NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *vader* Quote

xwingyoda Posted April 9, 2006 Author Posted April 9, 2006 Tks for the heads up prateek ;-) So France is the only country getting rid of the mag >:-( So why is France the first European country getting new sets then ?? I really have difficulties understanding TLC's decisions !! *yoda* Quote
alex54 Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 I really don't know why! Why does this touch France and not the other european country? Does TLC have a problem with us? I hope no! :-( That mean also that the french will not have all the collection of the city posters! *sing* Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 Strange...how much inhabitants does France have? I'd guess somewhere bewteen 80 en 100 million or so? Add other French-speaking countries to that, and you'd end up at a lot of people. But...the Netherlands have 15 million inhabitants. Combined with the dutch-speaking part of Belgium about 20 million I guess. But they do keep the magazine over here. very strange indeed. But Yoda, what's more important, getting the A-wing months before we do or getting the mag? ;-) Quote
