TrainTrack Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Last year, LEGO magazine was nice enough to give us 4 A3 size posters over the year, which we could join up, to make a mega poster. Don't know if this happened in the U.S. also. This year they are providing us with a new collection of posters. I have the first part, and it looks as if this years is going to be brilliant. Here's a link to a really huge picture, sorry dial up users. Poster Is it just me, or has the huge crane (slightly cut off, will be completed with the next poster), been scaled down somewhat. I think LEGO has been cost cutting again. The promise us great models, and then remove about have the elements before final production. EDIT___Looked at the two crane, and they are both the same, don't have a clue why I thought the poster version was smaller. Probably an opticaly illusion seeing as half of it has been cut off. Quote
Lost Viking Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 That's neat! Too bad we don't get those in Canada... anyways I can't wait to see the finished product! Quote
Zane Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 I also got that. On the other side are all of this years Hospital sets and the police station. I'll try find last year's, and try fit them together. TT Quote
Norro Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 I've always been a huge poster fan... but the lines they're based on have been less good recently... God Bless, Nathan Quote
Zane Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Yeah. They should do, IMO, a Bionicle one featuring EVERY Bionicle character set ever. That'd be so awsome. TT Quote
TrainTrack Posted April 3, 2006 Author Posted April 3, 2006 Bet you to it Toa Tilius ;-) . I've pieced together last years and the link is included below: Once again, very large resolution: All 4 A3 Posters This is an absolute mammoth poster when pieced together, that's why I had to lift my camera up high to take a picture of it on the ground. Oh yeah, my cat managed to get into the picture on the far right, she left it to the last moment to run up and take a look. I have kept all 4 of my posters in pristine condition, and hope to save money and frame it eventually. Quote
Sting Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 PEOPLE! Thats amazing!!! That makes those sets look pretty good, and they are back to doing GOOD displays for their sets. The Viking one is still computer animated backgrounds, but this one is like the olden days - paper mache and lego trees and background buildings made out of Lego! Awesome! Quote
alex54 Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 I don't knox why, but for the first serie of poster, I only have the first one, and not the other. Now I have the first of the news ones, I wait and see if I will have the other... *wacko* Quote
TrainTrack Posted April 4, 2006 Author Posted April 4, 2006 ^^^ I had a fear of not recieving one of the magazines, but they all turned up, maybe your membership expired whilst the series was being sent out. Yeah, the beast thing about it "Sting", is that I have two of these giant posters, because my little brother recieves the magazine also. So every poster I've got, I have spare in case someting happens. Yeah, I can't wait for this years, as you've seen from the first post, it looks like the train system will have some really nice shots like the Construction sets from the 4 part poster. I will alert you guys with a new thread when this years collection is over. *sweet* Quote
