Sir Dillon Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 (Yeah, I know my photo editing skills could use some work) Hello all, Here is a creation i made called the Red Hornet, I don't really know whether it's supposed to be a fighter or a civilian craft, or something else... 8-| I just kinda built it. This is only my second real space MOC posted online... ever, so if you have any comments, criticism or advice for me, please don't hesitate to share. :-) Gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=173261 Quote
Starwars4J Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 I really like it! My only criticism would be that it's very reminiscent of the A-wing Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 I like it. Very simple but still good. And the 'bulky' look works pretty well too. I don't like the color scheme though, like SW4J said, it reminds of the A-wing. Personally, I'd change the slopes a bit and add more SNOT. And landing gear would be nice. Not bad for a second space MOC :-) Quote
ApophisV Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 Baby-A-Wing!!!!!!!!!!! :-D I think this is a cute craft! *wub* Kinda like the 7 year old couch patato kid among the starships! :-D Is missing some details (greeeeblies!!! >:-) ) at the bottom though! ;-) Quote
Sir Dillon Posted March 17, 2006 Author Posted March 17, 2006 I really like it! My only criticism would be that it's very reminiscent of the A-wing Thanks. :-) I actually made it with the engines on back at first, and didn't realize how much it looked like the A-Wing untill I was done, so I had to re-build it with them on the sides, which, IMO looks better then it was anyway. Personally, I'd change the slopes a bit and add more SNOT. And landing gear would be nice. Not bad for a second space MOC Thanks! Where would I add the SNOT? on the sides? And landing gear! I knew it missing something. Is missing some details (greeeeblies!!! devg1.gif ) at the bottom though! Yeah, I guess I didn't really think about how plain it looks on the bottom... Thanks for all the replies! -Dillon Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Personally, I'd add some SNOT so that no studs would be visible anymore. I prefer a smooth look. And like Apo said, some greeblies would be nice. The back would be a nice place to add those. And it does indeed look a bit plain underneath. Try adding landing gear ;-) Quote
Sir Dillon Posted March 19, 2006 Author Posted March 19, 2006 Ok. I already scrapped this for a different project, but I'll try to remember this advice. Thanks! Quote
