Look at this KK3 the picture in the top left corner shows three of the new sets fitting together. :-/

PHESICAL EDIT

Upon further inspection of the Brickshelf folder which this image is contained, there are some other exciting and relevant images everyone should see:

I won't include the "action figures" because the Pictures of UPCOMING Knights Kingdom 2 Year 3 Action Figures thread already covers them. However, that thread is getting older so perhaps someone could create a new thread for the new images in order to stimulate a new discussion.

I haven't seen this image before so good work on hunting it down. But quite possibly you could have come up with a more descriptive thread title so I'll take care of that for you. Since there could be a dozens of KK3 threads appearing in the near future we need them to be clearly identifiable and easily distinguished from one another.

UPDATE:

I've changed the title of thist thread from "KK3" to what it is now as the new title should stimulate more interest, but don't forget to thank Skinny Boy for providing these images.

We have already seen this pic before, but anyway it shows the playability and the well designed sets that are coming late this 2006. The only question here is Which is the function of the "Battle at the Pass" set in this year's new story line? There's a pic from the Nuremberg Toyfair in which this set can be seen in front of the Mistlands' Tower, but basicly to this moment we still don't know exactly what it is about. *wacko*

*KK2 Nerd Coming Through!*

Vladek encounters the pass after sailing there on his boat. He and the Rogue Knights blast through it before reaching the Mistlands Tower. It seems Jayko and co. go over Gargoyle Bridge to get there. Gargoyle Bridge is basically part of the tower.

In which thread was this picture displayed? But it doesn't matter because there has been no designated discussion thread for these sets, so it works out for the best.

Grandeur. Apart from the thing you meant to show with this pic, I found a nice little thing: The front of Vladek's armor has a black print with scorpion heraldry, or perhaps even a speckled metal front print?

Looks awesomely nice. Feels like we will get Classic Castle-ish sets within a year... Mwhahaha. *skull*

Mr Hordesman what do you mean by "Classic Castle'ish sets within a year"? Are you saying next year's Knights Kingdom line (assuming there is one) will be even closer to Classic Castle than this year?

Aye, ye catched my drift. ;-)

Unfortunatly, though it may sound wierd, I was hoping for more Shield of Ages. Why? Well, I wanted a special army within the Morcian ranks that used the shield as their standard one since its the national symbol of Morcia, but we're getting it in a larger set so I wont do that then. Not a big deal really, but it would be nice with it being more common... But thinking in others place, I guess that would be a nightmare. X-D

Thanks TT, I didn't know that :-D part of the story!!

Answering to Mr Phes, there were several like "It seems like photos from Nuremberg", "2006 sets", "New KK2 sets", etc, etc, there were many indeed, but I have to admit that you were right saying that there was no special post for them.

Anyway, they are the closest thing to a Classic Castle theme (Vladek's Dark Fortress is not that Classic but it is the greatest of this line) and the Battle at the Pass soldiers are just lovely *wub*

I wouldn't call that fitted together... *n* At least bot like the true castle sets where the smithy could be fitted with the castle and the castles to each other. A poor try to make the sets "belong" which the surely don't *wacko*

I'm kind of disappointed. Early photos implied that the helmets were going to be pearl grey. In these newer photos, it looks as if the visors are in fact dark bley. The new shields do look nice though. Still, I'm just not feeling these sets. The new minifigs are a noticeable improvement, but the sets themselves are still quite dull. On the bright side, this will mean more money for Batman and Bricklink!

Later.

Yet another attempt at getting " Mommy!!!!!!! I NEEEEEEEEED the other sets to make it ALL!!!! DUH!!! MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOOK AT THOSE UGLY SAILS. Kids remember just tell you mom. I would like a Black seas barracuda. Thath would be much better.

It is my understanding that classic-castle lovers desire modularity in today’s sets. About that ship, I was originally critical of its design, but I think it’s started to grow on me to the point that I may need to purchase it. I agree with you, Willy, that those sails (whatever they are) are somewhat unattractive. I'd purchase a BSB if it wasn't so expensive. :-(

They are indeed pearl light gray.

I'd buy 8813 for the pieces. I saw a pic of this set the other day but unfortunately cannot retrieve it.

The nice thing was that it featured the old 80s knight helmets with grille in pearl silver!

Probably just a prototype.

Ah, that is good news. The sets themselves don't really excite me, but some of these minifigs do. New heraldry, interesting (in a good way for a change) torso/armour printing, and improved colour sense really save these guys. Thankfully we're seeing a real move away from the monochromatic Jellybeans of yesteryear. About time!

Christopher,

Where did you get the printed Harry Potter (I assume) mat that is in your signature?

-- Bryan

Hi, Bryan. It was a free gift with every purchase of above SGD100 of Harry Potter items in a LEGO-Exclusive Toy Shop in Singapore (before and during the promotion of Harry Potter III). It's not available anymore, I guess. I have 4 of them.... but I've cut 2 of them to do some display. :-$
