WesternOutlaw Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 It is a dark and stormy night. Flight 514, a private Lego jet with the identification LC7893 flies through a turbulent sky. On the plane are ten individuals who departed from Frankfurt en route to Los Angeles for reasons unknown, and your small group of Eurobrick friends. Captain Buzz Kennedy, a tall charismatic man from the United States captains the plane assisted by Steward Mitch Herrington, a stickler for prompt and professional service. Aboard the plane are a diverse group of passengers who you know little about. One of the passengers is an African American gentleman who appears to be in the medical profession. He wears a blue jacket with a black caduceus medical symbol patch. Two businessmen sitting across from each other toward the front of the plane read newspapers. Two younger men dressed in t-shirts sit a few rows behind them. They both wear dark sunglasses and seem to be listing to music. A young red-haired lady sits by herself as she pages through a fashion magazine. Also on the plane is young man with jeans, a red leather jacket, and a baseball cap; and lastly, an unshaven airline employee in a blue uniform and red cap sitting in the back. The plane shakes vigorously as lightning illuminates the night sky. Something evil is unfolding for one of the ten individuals aboard this plane hides a dark and sinister past. A murder will soon take place on Flight 514. Quote
Lost Viking Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 Cool! Nice job Brickster! What do you mean by "Mini Murder Mystery"? Do you just tell us the story? Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted February 26, 2006 Author Posted February 26, 2006 Mitch the steward is making his way through the aisle with refreshments when Lost Viking gets out of his seat to go to the bathroom. Lost Viking sees something on the floor at the rear of the plane. It's a dead man who appears to have been stabbed. A knife is sticking out of his chest. Lost Viking runs back to his seat yelling, "there's been a murder"! Quote
hewkii9 Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 Can we help by trying to solve? I wonder who the killed this person, and who it is? I'm thinking it's a one of the businessmen. Is this based on Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None? Great book btw. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted February 26, 2006 Author Posted February 26, 2006 There are 10 suspects in this murder. Each suspect may be interrogated only once to provide a statement. Each suspect will generally provide you with their background/profession, the reason they are flying to Los Angeles, and any other questions that you might ask. When the interrogation is over and/or you've asked too many questions, someone will say, "I think it's time to interrogate someone else". At any time, you may solve the mystery. After all 10 suspects are interrogated, you may have a chance to interrogate one idividual a second time before attempting to solve the mystery. Quote
5150 Lego Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 Sounds like fun! So can we start the interrogations? Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted February 26, 2006 Author Posted February 26, 2006 Anyone can participate and you can start by interrogating anyone you'd like. Quote
hewkii9 Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 Hmmm.......... I'd like to interrogate Buzz Kennedy. . . . Was this flight chartered? Did any of the other suspects pay in cash? Have you got a criminal record? Have you met any of the other suspects before, and in what conditions? Are you an experienced pilot? Do you have any racial beliefs? . . . Heh, I'm evil... . . . What can you tell me of your mental physique? Are you the killer? . . . There, those are my questions. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted February 27, 2006 Author Posted February 27, 2006 Well, as you may or may not be aware, I Quote
hewkii9 Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Have you ever lied? Can you tell me what type of knife was used to do the crime? Has any identification of any sort been found upon the dead man? Is there any possibility of suicide? There, I'm done. Quote
SuvieD Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Questions for the airport employee with the red hat. What is your role on the plane? Where would the knife have come from? Did you notice anything unusual or suspicious during the flight? Where were you/what were you doing just before the man was found dead? Do you recognize anyone on the plane? What can you tell us about the flight? Who do you suspect commited the murder? Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted February 27, 2006 Author Posted February 27, 2006 Captain Buzz is talking with you as Mitch the steward approaches from the aisle. Mitch states, "interesting indeed captain, our passenger list includes only eight persons and the Eurobrick group. All passengers are present and accounted for (and alive). It appears that the dead man may have been a stow away". You continue to question the captain: Have you ever lied? well, that's a silly question. Only to my wife on occasion. Can you tell me what type of knife was used to do the crime? I don't know too much about knives, but you may examine it. Has any identification of any sort been found upon the dead man? We may ask Mitch this question as he's the one that examined the body. Is there any possibility of suicide? I'm curious about that myself. Well, I think it's time I get back to flying this plane. Auto pilot is only good for so long, you know. Mitch, please provide me a report after you get the body and the passengers taken care of. Find out if the dead man has any identification and also, if there is any possibility of suicide. Share your finding with the Eurobrick group. They're here to help us. Quote
Khorne Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 I would like to interrogate the fleshtone with the suitcase: What's in the suitcase? Why are you so pale? Why are you on this flight? Did you know the victim? Quote
hewkii9 Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 A stowaway? Hmm.... just a general question: Were there any criminals on the previous flight? The killer is one of us.... Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted February 28, 2006 Author Posted February 28, 2006 Questions for the airport employee with the red hat. What is your role on the plane? Hello. My name is John Falklin. I'm an air traffic controller with Lego Air and was in Frankfurt for a training conference. I'm required to wear a suit as an employee of the airline, but I'm just flying home. Where would the knife have come from? Not too sure about this, but it doesn't surprise me in the least. This airline is pretty relaxed when it comes to security. Tickets aboard our planes are pretty expensive and we only cater to a few, if you know what I mean. These types of people don't generally bring knives aboard planes. Did you notice anything unusual or suspicious during the flight? I've been watching the young fellow with the "hippie" t-shirt closely. He looks suspicious, the kind of guy that would smuggle illegal contraband. That marijuana t-shirt says it all. Where were you/what were you doing just before the man was found dead? I was actually in my seat looking at at a Sky Shop magazine. They've got the neatest things in those magazines, and I get 15% off. Do you recognize anyone on the plane? No, can't say that I do. What can you tell us about the flight? This is a great flight. You can fly between LA and Frankfurt in under nine hours. That's pretty good, but the tickets are a little pricey. Who do you suspect commited the murder? I've got my eye on that "hippie". Maybe it was a drug deal that turned sour. That sort of stuff is always happening. I need to call my girlfriend to let her know that this flight will be delayed. Do you have any more questions? A stowaway? Hmm.... just a general question: Were there any criminals on the previous flight? The killer is one of us.... All questions must be directed at one of the 10 suspects. The killer is NOT one of you, but rather one of the suspects. When questioning, I will answer questions in the order that they are asked and give a 2nd person a chance to ask any additional questions of the same suspect. Then I'll move to the next suspect. John Falklin is still answering and the next suspect will be the guy in the grey suit pictured with a suitcase in the SUSPECT picture. Quote
hewkii9 Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Okay, here's my pick: How long have you worked for these airlines? Have you got a weapon with you? Do you have any martial arts training? Have you ever seen a Seth Bernstein movie? What do you think of Buzz? That's all.. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted March 1, 2006 Author Posted March 1, 2006 How long have you worked for these airlines? I've been employed by Lego Air for a few years. Prior to that, I was a night security guard with a bank in LA. Have you got a weapon with you? no, I wouldn't be permitted to bring a weapon on board. Do you have any martial arts training? can't say that I do but I love Jackie Chan. Have you ever seen a Seth Bernstein movie? does he do those comedy films? Not sure that I heard of him. What do you think of Buzz? I heard he's a pretty good pilot, but a little sure of himself if you ask me. Military officers are all like that. He's definately fond of the ladies, if you know what I mean. Well, let me see if I can make that call now with the in-flight telephone. They don't always work in stormy weather. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted March 1, 2006 Author Posted March 1, 2006 OK, OK, I hear you want to speak with me regarding this murder. OK, let's be quick about it. First, I don't know the man who was murdered, I don't know why anyone would want him dead, and I certainly had no involvement in his unpleasant demise. My name is Stan Sinlair. I work for a wealthy collector of fine antiquities, and I often travel between Germany and the States operating as a buyer. What's in the suitcase? Just a few items that I picked up in Frankfurt. I don't trust these airlines with my luggage. Why are you so pale? OK, I don't make fun of your name Mr. Cobb, so I'd appreciate you not making fun of my skin tone. Why are you on this flight? As I said previously, I'm a buyer for an antique dealer. Did you know the victim? I believe I answered that question already. Now, I'll answer just a few more questions, and then you can go bother someone else. Quote
Khorne Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Why are you in such a hurry? Could you please show me what's in your suitcase? Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted March 2, 2006 Author Posted March 2, 2006 "Now, I'm a busy man and I don't have time for silly questions. Now you ask me to show you my luggage? This is quite unorthodox and I do not appreciate being treated as if I'm hiding evidence in a murder case. I plan to file a formal complaint with this airline over this blatant invasion of my privacy. I will go ahead and show you my suit case simply to put an end to this game of charades." Stan Sinclair raises the door to the overhead bin and pulls down a white medium-sized suit case. He places it on a chair and opens it. His face turns pale as he looks at the empty contents with astonishment. "What, the Tiger's Roar is missing. Someone has stolen the Tiger's Roar"! After spending a few minutes calming down Stan Sinclair, he explains: "the Tiger's Roar is a priceless blue sapphire that I purchased in Frankfurt. It was given to the Queen of Austria by the 3rd son of the Sultan of India. The Tiger's Roar is a beautiful gem that has the small image of a roaring tiger's face that appears when the gem is held to the light. Someone has taken the Tiger's Roar! I will see to it that this thief is found and punished to the furthest extent of the law, and I will sue this airline for every penny that I can"! Stan begins yelling loudly when Mitch the steward comes over and requests that he sit down. Stan demands that the entire plane be searched and that the plane not be permitted to land until the gem is found. Quote
joevig434 Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Do you think that the guy with the illegal drug on his shirt did it he looks pretty supisios (sorry about the spelling Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted March 3, 2006 Author Posted March 3, 2006 He may be interrogated if you have specific questions. Quote
vahkimetru Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 I have some questions for Billy, and some for Stan: For Billy: Why are you sitting so far back in the plane? Have you ever handeled weapons? What is depicted on your shirt? Do you have any criminal record? Why do you hide your eyes? Were you angry at any time during or recently before the flight? Have you ever had anger problems? Do you know the man who was killed? What use would a knife be to you? For Stan: Have you ever stolen an artifact? Did you see anything the man was holding? Were you ever armed? What use kight a knife be to you? Did you see anything suspicious on board the plane? What about the man named Billy do you know? Do you know any other passengers? Do you have any criminal record? Were you very angry at some point around the time of the murder? Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted March 5, 2006 Author Posted March 5, 2006 Stan refuses to answer any additional questions at this time. Mitch the steward recommends that you try again later not to agitate him any more. On with your interrogation of Billy Madison: Why are you sitting so far back in the plane? I'm just relaxing back here. Have you ever handeled weapons? Sure, when I need to. What is depicted on your shirt? Dude, get a clue. It's pot! Do you have any criminal record? I've been in juvey a few times, but I've been clean since I turned 21. Why do you hide your eyes? There's no crime against wearing shades, is there? Were you angry at any time during or recently before the flight? No, I've had three beers since I got on this plane and have a pretty good buzz going. Have you ever had anger problems? Only when people mess with me. Do you know the man who was killed? I never saw that dude before. What use would a knife be to you? None. Are you done? Quote
