problems with seeing "sent messages

For some time now I have not been able to see my "sent messages" in the PMs. I can see my inbox, but once I send a message it does not go into the "sent messages" bin.

Is there some setting forgot to toggle, or a bug somewhere?

It's not stored automatically. Below the text field you must check the option "Add a copy of this message to my sent items folder".
