DoubleT Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 Hi all St. Helens in Washington State is again aktive, but is it going to blow like the last time? And will people get out of there this time? Mount St. Helens has been the most active volcano in the lower 48 states and Canada during the past 4,500 years. Its 1980 eruption hurled debris nearly 20 miles north, killed 57 people and paralyzed much of the Northwest with gritty, machine-clogging ash. Nature is great, but some times also very dangerous...
ApophisV Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 uh... lets hope nobody gets hurt / killed..... :o
jonfett Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 Volcano's are always rumbling away and lava bubbling up through the earths crust, so lets hope this isn't anything bad. But if it does erupt... :oo this thing sure can explode! Jon.
David85 Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 It's been aCtive for weeks now. A few weeks ago they thought it was going to blow. Nothing close to the 1980 one through and no one would be hurt because it would just start to fill up the crater it made. Mount Fugi is the one the volcano people are worried about because it looks like St. Helens did before the 1980 one, and hasn't exploded in some time. Plus there are millions of people living around it.
