Well, just wanted to give you all a heads up that the Toyfair coverage over at ASM has begin. Once again, they provide super pictures of what we want! Currently, they're got a gallery up for LEGO so check it out!

http://toyfair06.asmzine.com/lego/

Oh and Avatar looks simply AMAZING. But did we really expect anything less? LEGO makes anything look good. :-D

EDIT: I have officially made the largest buffonery of myself since the day I was born. This topic shouldn't really be alive. This isbecause:

-I found higher-res pictures here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=168082

-There's another topic to do with this.

Oy, I feel like an idiot. I got pwned by my own excitement. Sorry!

I think the link you provided was alright. There were some nice views in that pics the others from that BS-gallery could not provide.

So don't worry yourself.

I feared so, I didn't hope so, but it came true: tracks do come in 16-packs - but with straights and curves in one pack.

Understandable from TLG's selling point of view, but unnerving from a train fan's point of view. Tracks are finally cheaper but you still end up with tons of useless curves...

Dreaded curves in a straight pack

Check out some of the piece counts on those sets! 1075 in the Batcave! 1448 in the Sentai Headquarters!

My opinions so far:

Exo-Force - Looks awesome, with incredibly high piece counts. My only disappointment was that Supa Nova and BW vs WL werent shown.

Designer - I love the black car, and the others are looking interesting as well. It looks like the dragon has a light up brick, and the motorbikes have a sound brick.

Bionicle Playsets - I'm surprised to see that they come with the rocky, non-Lego piece shown int he box-art.

Technic - It's looking good, although I'm wondering why the Tractor is now a Dune Buggy. I assume the Tractor is the final product, sinc epreliminary designs always seem to be shown at US Toy Fair.

No Vikings?

Avatar - I'm liking that boat even more after seeing these pics

Spongebob - The exteriors are looking pretty good, but I assume the reason that the enteriors seem empty is because all the extra stuff the sets come with can go on the inside of the buildings.

Star Wars - Looks good, despite the prototype sets (yellow and trans blue pieces ;)

Batman - Still looking awesome, and I LOVE the UCS Batmobile now (there's so much detail that the box-art doesn;t show).

Another year of heavy spending ahead. Bionicle! Exo-Force! Star Wars! What will i buy first!?!? Those pictures are great, thanks for the links. I now know i definetly want the ISD.

Toyfair coverage strains those sites ALOT. I mean today is the first full day and crazy toy fans are running around like little children. But seriously, who isn't? These sets look awesome! And I can say on behalf of other toy fans that the toys (not just Lego) are INCREDIBLE this year!

Has anyone seen the inside of Spongebob's house? There is nothing but a pointless Basketball hoop. And the big Spongebob has no back, either.

i think it will probably take two of every spongebob set to make them complete, and i do agree that the house looks empty. so much more could have been done with it

I'm pretty sure that all of that stuff outside his house (such as his bed) go inside his house, making it look much more filled up.

Nothing we really have not seen in some capacity before, but it's great to get new clear shots from multiple angles.

Like I never noticed the Exo-Force Striking Venom had robots attached to the legs before :-D

And the details in the Batcave set are just amazing...talk about packing in the play value nuts.GIF

Although is it just me...or does it seem a little odd there are no pics of the supposed "Super Nova" mech from Exo-Force...or Vikings :(

Thanks a lot for the guy who first posted the links for the Toy Fair NYC Coverage!!!

But judging them, I can say that the best photos are from FBTB's link (these guys are really good at covering this event every year), and there you can see more details from the Krusty Krab, Spongebob's House, Squidward's House (spoiler, a very disapointing one), Exo Force, Avatar (also featuring the back side of the Air Temple) and Knights' Kingdom new minifigs and features.

 Thanks a lot, again

Well, if the box is the indicator, the dune buggy is the main model. I can't say I disagree - the tractor was a hideous thing (no offense intended to the few who liked it), not that yet another duge bunny holds much interest for me either.

I have officially given up on Adventurers for 2006. Sigh. Here's hoping for 2007. Please TLC, don't let Johnny die!

The tractor is defenatly better than that horrible dune buggy! Whats a dune buggy without suspention???

Hopfully the tractor will be the alternate model.

I must say, that this is a great year for techinc! I'm alittle disapointed by the size of the crawler crane. Was hoping it would be a bit bigger. Of well. No biggie (ha ha, get it? )
