Hi,

I just wondered if the colours of the sails were different?

Is the red of the new 10040 BSB darker than the red of the older one?

Peeron shows it as exactly the same.. I don't have any, So I cant verify this.

That's exactly the same photo, so no difference can be seen

I would assume they're the same, although it's possible that the re-release only had printing on one side of the sails, like the later pirate ships. Just guessing though.

The rerelease has printing on both sides of the sails. So if the old one did too, then they're likely exactly the same.

Yes, colorwise I see no difference between both releases (I own two 6285's and one re-release).

There were some small parts-differences I believe. Referring to the extra parts then.
