Hi,

you all know the procedure now, feel free to ask whatever you want, we'll sort out the best / most important questions for the meeting (we're sorry that we can't ask all questions, but it's not up to us.... :()

See the other thread for any infos about the results of the last meeting and this for details about the Global AFOL Group itself!

Question List:

Color Change:

- Jake said this on Lugnet, "Universal Color (aka Locked Color): An evergreen color that would not be changed, dropped, or modified without serious discussion that includes all stakeholders, including adult hobbyists and LEGO Company executive management." Does that mean the company is so screwed up that people didn't have to talk about the change they could just do it?

Lego factory:

- What does the LEGO Factory have anything to do with bulk likw or brinklink like ordering?

World City:

- What is up with the new "City" sets? They have an other police station right after the World City one came out, plus these new ones are 5+, not 7+ or 8+ like before. What is going on?

I have a couple that he will not answer because he's afraid and likes changing the questions...

EX:

Q: If yes, do they think the licences help?

A: "Good sales are good sales. We hope all our products sell well, and have chosen activities and products that we think are the best options for making money. That applies to every year."

Anyone with a brain know that high sales mean nothing if you have to spend hundreds of millions on licences.

Anyways on with the questions.....

1. What does the LEGO Factory have anything to do with bulk likw or brinklink like ordering?

EX:

Q: Will there EVER be a 'BL like' ordering system on S@H?

A: "That sounds like a future plans question....

I will say one thing: LEGO Factory."

2. Jake said this on Lugnet, "Universal Color (aka Locked Color): An evergreen color that would not be changed, dropped, or modified without serious discussion that includes all stakeholders, including adult hobbyists and LEGO Company executive management." Does that mean the company is so screwed up that people didn't have to talk about the change they could just do it?

3. He won't answer this one either even through the sets are out.

What is up with the new "City" sets? They have an other police station right after the World City one came out, plus these new ones are 5+, not 7+ or 8+ like before. What is going on?

None of these will be answered of course because no one has the guts to get the needed answers out of him.

Actually, I think its Jake hasn't got the guts to spill. Though, if there

is any consolation, usually the AFOL Q&A's, there are a couple "dignitaries"

from Lego, including a VP & a legal rep. so Jake doesn't get caught with his

foot in his mouth.

*wacko*

Anyways, I used to like watching Brad Justice, former SVP of Lego Direct

with how he addressed the questions, especially ones he couldn't answer.

:/

My question is this (and probably won't be answered):

With Star Wars winding down (there's always EU) and Harry Potter

declining in popularity, what will Lego concentrate on next to draw

the next generation of their target market (who are satuarted already

with toys and spend a lot of their time watching tv, on computer, or

play video games)?

Ben M.

(the answer will probably be, "sounds too much like a future question!)
