tomacwhite Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 I should have it done by this lunch time, I'll take some pics then and upload them. I like the model, it really isn't very Technicy, but it looks lovely :) Quote
Jetro Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 when you say inventory, you'd like to see the box itself in person? i am not sure how that's going to affect your decision as everything is listed on LEGO site and various other websites.do you mind if you clarify? Inventory as in Bricklink inventory: what parts are in the box. Not available yet. Quote
tomacwhite Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 (edited) I have finished my build and I love the model, it looks fantastic with its big chunky bodykit and tyres. The panels give it a real smart look and the decals are nice too (there are lots of them!). Technically its quite simple; it has a V8 engine with diff, and the cab tilts forward showing.. well nothing really. This model is more about the looks than the functionality. There is definitely space in there for a battery pack, IR unit and (M for Steering) motor. The chassis is fairly stiff although when you have the cab tilted the very front of the chassis does flex a little. For the price though I think this is a lovely model. Sure, its not technical, but it certanly looks lovely on my desk at work :) Edited January 14, 2010 by tomacwhite Quote

TONS of space to include PF as you mentioned. mine came with wrinkly sticker set (again) so ... :( Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Got mine last wednesday. Built it right away and took some pitures. So check my brickshelf. So here are my comments: It's a nice model but it's a quite simple built with not that many new parts. The stickers add a lot to the looks of the model, where itself is lacking "technic" functions. It kinda looks like an "in between model" to keep the (younger)AFOL's happy. The race truck runs smoothly and there do not seem to been any designflaws in it. With over 150 connectorpins and many other small parts it still is a big model. (lxhxw: 32cmx16cmx15cm) All in all: 3,5 ot of 5 points. Note: Does anyone know how many sets , being a "limited" edition, are going to be produced? Quote
