The soft ones just don't feel very lego-like to me.

Yes

The new flags look a lot nicer but nothing beats the classics. :pir-blush:

and double yes. I know I've already responed my vote but I just have to reiterate my opinion.

Old Flags rule

As was mentioned in this thread the best in my opinion are the ones made of cloth, but if its just between the hard ones and the soft plastic ones I will choose the Old flags.

If I had to choose, like you fiends made me do, I have to choose the old ones.

But for my ships, and my two fleets, I like the use the old "hard" flags as the main flag off the back of the ship. I then use the soft flags for the mast tops. For the red coats this is easily done. For the blue coats I use the soft armada flag on top with the old blue coat hard flag on the bottom.

Personally, I prefer the old ones because for some reason I have some innate love for the older sets. It's hard to describe, but I'm sure if you feel the same way you know what I'm talking about :pir_laugh2: .

I totally know what you are talking about. It seems to me that when they were making the older sets they got more creative with their color schemes. Like in color theory you can grey out colors by putting grey next to the color you want to desaturate. A good example is some of the imperial forts where they used grey for the flooring instead of the brown. The grey desaturated the yellow. As for the flags I hate the new pirate design. It is the silliest jolly roger I have ever seen. P.S. No pun intended. :pir-blush:

Nice flags Voodo Hands, I thought that this Flag from the Dark Knights theme would be good on English ships.

Here it is....
