That's really all I could find when looking for sets which had the Bat helm from Fright Knights and the helm from KK1...

Only tower set in Fright Knights is castle, but it has swords and bows (he said x-bows, though) and horses, so no more fright knights. KK1 Bulls.... (All the words are gunna bleed from me and I will sing no more) any waydiddley, swords, x-bows...I CEE AAA NUU NNN OUU TEE find the set, with no swords, no x-bows, a tower, and no horses.

Can you be 100% sure that none of these elements were in the set? I mean it seems very odd, you would remeber something as small as a x bow or short sword. And can you be sure its a tower? As a child i owned the twisted time train and three years later i couldnt even remember it was a train! It wasnt until i was older and bought it again, that i remembered what the model ressembled, and thats my favorite set! I bet you it could have been something like traitor transport.

Even though I didn't buy Lego until 2001, my mom gave me a set from around the time period you're saying... I'm also very vague on it.

It had those castle wall pieces with the window cut out of them... and I think they were black... it had 1 guy... the top platform was octagonal I think, with notches on the 2 sides to hold spears... it was also a tower, a very small one.

khagaraks right, people should try to guess what the set i gave clues for is, its easy when you think about it.
