HJR-Holland Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 They had a fantastic four TV-movie a few years back and a friend of mine, who is an ace fan of the comic zapped away during the movie, it was THAT bad. I hope this new one will be better, but it really needs some big stars, and from what I saw on IMDB.com there aren't any in the movie... Quote
Vader Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 I dont think it needs big stars after all xmen and spiderman both did great at the box office and neither of them really had big stars in them. (waits for all the trekkie fans to shout about patrick stewart) ;) Sometimes a film like this will do better without a big star in it, and that old ff movie sure did suck. Quote
ApophisV Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 HEY!!! THERE WAS PATRICK STEWARD IN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;) And I actually think movies without of famous stars have much more potential then the high-budget productions... The script writers KNOW that the success of the movie doens't depend on the actors, so they have to write a good story.... Quote
DoubleT Posted November 28, 2004 Author Posted November 28, 2004 Its easyer to get better caracters, with unknown actors, in movie with big stars you allready has an idea who Julia Roberts or Tom Cruise is.... Quote
Luigi Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 Besides, Jessica Alba is a well-known actress ... Quote
jonfett Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 The script writers KNOW that the success of the movie doens't depend on the actors, so they have to write a good story.... But sometimes films are let down by poor acting.. *cough* Harry Potter *cough* but then again, there are some films with no well known actors in which do great. Take the original Star Wars for example. Nobody knew of Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamil.. but now they are very well known (well known in the Star Wars fanbase anyway! ;)) Jon. Quote
