It might not have much content (as its only a page from a larger website) but Here it is - its interesting to say the least and that's why I'm sharing it. And because I'm nice and I love to share things. Especially nice things. Well stop reading and go look at it!

Where do you find this stuff?

Most of them are accidental Google finds. So methinks, might as well share them with everyone else in case someone can find some value in the information.

I found this particular website when I was searching for the UK/Australian name for Eldorado Fortress (because I'd forgotten it :D ) to ask you a question (about the Pirate comic) in another thread.

Despite being a small website (actually its a page which is part of larger LEGO fan-site) its dear creator, Chris Fortier invested his time in creating it so I thought I'd help make it worth his while. I think I might Email him and see if he'd like to join Eurobricks.

By the time I'm done with this Pirates forum there will be no need for any fan sites! There is going to be a database of every set which includes a picture review, price and box design.

I don't intend to do it by myself Mr Tole. This forum is meant to be a community effort and therefore everyone will have the opportunity to contribute something if they wish, and those who do will be rewarded. Still, it is a long way off due to the amoun to be done, but together we can achieve it!

A community effort is where everyone in the forum makes a contribution to whatever the major project is at the time. So, in other words rather than me doing 100% of the work other users will have the opportunity to make their own contributions which will give them a degree of what content and how much appears in the LEGO Pirate Forum.

The LEGO Pirate Forum is for EVERYONE - so EVERYONE should have the opportunity to build it with me!

I'd be really happy to contribute by making some photo reviews of the Pirate sets I own, unfortunately almost all of them are disassembled and their parts are or will be used in MOCs. The only exception is the BSB but it's a bit modified anyway. I can still write reviews, but no photos unfortunately.

Yes, photo reviews would be good!

I was thinking we could have a complete pictorial review every month and a smaller set review (with the picture used as box art) every 2 weeks. There will also be a special "storage" forum for those who rank higher than Commander to put such reviews in so there isn't more than one of each active at the same time. So it theory each thread would get a better response because the users aren't stretched between writing two or more reviews at the same time. So in other words they have more opportunity to think - if that makes sense!

I to would like to contribute with pictures review but first i must wait until my writing gets good enough to write such a thing. Will i get promoted for writing these reviews and how long does each review need to be?

YES!!! Reviewing pirate sets is an excellent way to get promoted fast, especially doing the full pictorial reviews. I don't suppose there is any set length for the the reviews, but it would be good if each pictorial review covered as many views the set as possible. As for the standard review a couple of paragraphs should do fine.
