8877 Drawbridge Problems

Hey,

I got 8877 (Vladek's Fortress) but have had problems with the drawbridge. I can wind it up, but oce the end gets around an inch away from the closed postition, the mechanism won't turn any further. If I wind down the bridge slightly, I can push it up against the tower, but it won't wind all the way up. Anyone else had this problem?

No I dont think mine was like that... Its all destroyed now but I think maybe you should look at the instructions u might have made a silly mistake..Take a look tell me what happens.

I'll give this thread a bump since it seems to have merit despite its lack of response. Can anyone else help with Mr Toa Tilius's draw bridge problems?

Sorry for posting in that old thread, but I have a suggestion for that problem.

It could be that, when the line of the drawbride is very tight it might possibly cut a corner too hard and that's why there is no more process.

Had the problem on a moc some time ago.

no problem on mine. i think before you put the chains on, you have to make sure they are not twisted in any way.

mine has a similar problem. it won't go up all the way. it is a little bit annoying.
