just2good Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 By the way, anyone still watching Penguins of Madagascar? The show is getting stale, and recently they have been increasingly making fun of bronies. Really? I only saw one reference on it. What did they say? Quote
Oky Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Well, it technically is just one reference (Private being a fan of a show about unicorns) but they're beating that joke to death by revealing other characters on the show to be fans of it as well, and having the other penguins constantly make cynical remarks about him liking the show, etc. Nothing too bad, especially compared to what Bronies usually have to endure, but it does get annoying after a while. LEGOman273 Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Really? Where did you hear that? I thought it was pretty good too and don't see how one could have hated it. We even finally got to see Korra in the Avatar state, as brief and tacked-on-at-the-end as it may have been. Now that Amon is dead (he must be dead; otherwise his death scene would have been pointless) I'm guessing that Lieutenant "Moustache Guy" will take over as leader of the equalists and devise a new plan for getting rid of benders, perhaps with some kind of invention from Hiroshi. We'll have to wait and see. I disagree. 1. I think that the Lieutenant is dead; otherwise he would have fought Amon IMO. 2. I am not sure what happened to Hiroshi. Did Asami kill him, or did she turn him over to the police? Anyway, he may not come back. 3. Amon's still being alive would not make the scene pointless, as the point of the scene was Tarlokk's sacrifice. That still stands, even if Amon is still alive. 4. I don't think that the Equalists will come back. The movement was a quasi-faith in Amon; he was their symbol. I doubt that they would simply re-organize under a new leader. Amon was the Equalist movement. 5. I guarantee that we will see Korra in the Avatar State more in Season 2. Quote
The Blue Brick Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 My favorite cartoons are definitely Dora The Explorer, Bratz, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and the PowerPuff Girls. All kidding aside now, I don't watch cartoons. I do enjoy watching the anime Initial D and Gundam. Quote
Oky Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 I disagree. Fair enough. Let's agree to disagree and just wait and see what S2 will bring. My favorite cartoons are definitely Dora The Explorer, Bratz, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and the PowerPuff Girls. Nothing wrong with loving the Powerpuff Girls! It's still one of the best shows CN has ever put out, along with any other shows Genndy Tartakovsky and Lauren Faust have worked on (except maybe Symbionic Titan which sadly only started getting good towards its cancellation)! Walter Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 And for pony related stuff ( ), the second "Anthology" video came out today at Bronycon. Saw the whole thing. My favorite part had to be the 2001: A Space Oddyssey Parody(?) at the end. Great stuff. Quote
HumanPackMule Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Just finished watching Code Geass yesterday. Very well done and it felt like Death Note for mecha fans. Quote
Tamamono Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Ah, I have so much more to talk about in this thread since I've started watching more anime! Does anyone watch Kuroko no Basuke, Bleach, Death Note, Trigun, K-On!, or Angel Beats? Quote
just2good Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 I'm still amazed nobody is talking about Gravity Falls on this thread! It's the best animated show Disney has put out in years! I've been trying to find the episodes online, but I did watch the latest episode on TV. Quote
CM4Sci Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 I don't know if this means anything, but I just read online that DirecTV is taking away about 25 channels away including Comedy Central and Nickelodeon. D: -Sci Quote

D: -Sci I was a long time user of DirecTV, but they kept on taking away channels so I switched recently! If you're into cartoons, get U-Verse! Quote
Oky Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Anyone else watching Tron Uprising? I recently caught up with all the episodes (they have most of them on the Disney XD site) and I must say it's a very good show! The character development, action, visual style, score, and voice cast are all outstanding! Much better than the movies the series is based on! While it retains the feel of the movies, it still manages to create its own world and story. I can really recommend it! Quote

I'll check it out when the next Gravity Falls airs Friday night, as Tron Uprising comes right after it. About Tron Uprising, I'm not very fond of the visual style. Quote
Oky Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 I recommend watching it in order, but it's up to you. As for the visual style, it does take some getting used to, but I think it fits the Tron world. Quote

I don't have that much time to get hooked on TV Shows as of now, but if I did, it would be near the top of my list. But I do find the movies better than the show. Quote

The series hasn't started in the UK yet but i saw the fisrt/pilot episode on disney XD today. I did't know much about the Tron universe but the fisrt episode seems to have explained the situation well, i'll definatly give it chance. The only problem i have art style wise is the origninal Tron's face, I mean it looks kind like count dooku's from the clone wars series. Edited July 14, 2012 by Dr_knork Quote
Walter Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 SDCC 2012 Season 3 MLP:FiM songs! Sweet! I was hoping for some Season 3 stuff at Comic Con! And while on the subject of shows, there's some news about Legend of Korra! It’s official: The Legend continues! Nickelodeon has picked up a second season of the animated adventure series The Legend of Korra, EW has learned. After averaging 3.8 million viewers for Season 1, Book 1, which concluded June 23, the Avatar: The Last Airbender sequel is receiving a second-season order of 26 episodes that presumably will be divided into two parts called Books 3 and 4, bringing the total number of episodes to 52. Read full article here. I'm very happy to hear this. Quote

Read full article here. I'm very happy to hear this. Yep. Bryan Konietzko clarifies here that these additional 26 episodes will make up books 3 and 4 of The Legend of Korra. Since we're talking about Korra, two Korra posters were distributed at Comic-Con. The first one is just the character designs we've seen, while the second holds a few more surprises. New Friends Old Friends Additionally, there were some Korra character designs revealed at the Korra panel at Comic-Con. Images are floating around the internet, and I'm having difficulty finding them all compiled in one place, but a lot can be seen on this tumblr. Overall I'm very excited for the next book of Korra! In the meantime, I've been watching Avatar: The Last Airbender with my mom. We just started book two yesterday, and I'm hoping to get through the whole book by the time I have to go back up to college. Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 I do like Marvel better then DC , but I have been watching Young Justice lately, I find it to quite good. It's a little more serious then, say, The brave & the bold. Quote
just2good Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 I doughnut really care about Phineas and Ferb, but for all of its fans, what do you guys think about this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lngO85cJdP4&feature=plcp Quote

This is the worst thing I've ever seen in my life. I'm super angry. Quote
Spider-Man Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Ya that is pretty bad. I really don't like how Disney is seemingly dumbing down the Marvel Universe for the kids. Some stuff needs to be left alone. A lot of the comics are anything but kid appropriate. Quote
