I finished watching these.

ReBoot.

Batman Beyond.
Sk8 the Infinity.
Yu Yu Hakusho.
Avatar: The Last Airbender.

I've finished a few more, but I don't qualify them for this topic. I will say that I am currently watching One Piece, and G.I.JOE: A REAL AMERICAN HERO, and Action League Now!

This seems like a fun thread.

As I added in the Interests section of my profile, lemme add mine!

I'm a fan of of several cartoons. Most of them I'm not an active fan of, but I am of those I described as an essay :)))

1. The Fairly Oddparents until Channel Chasers~ roughly. Despite being a bit overrated, I still really like the show.

2. TUFF Puppy- Revived my nostalgia by rediscovering it after some time. Underratedly a great show, and a very underappreciated one as well. Big fan (my pfp is Agent Katswell from the show). Also I wanna try artistry of it in the future. ;D

Besides that I hope for a continuation of TUFFP. 🐕🐈 (Kudley forever! :D)

As for MOC-building, I plan building the TUFFmobile from the show sometime, its design is awesome and try to make it transformable (it had quite some different vehicles modes).

3. Avatar: TLA- Pretty self-explanatory I think. Legendary.

4. Ninjago until Skybound- Just like ATLA, no words needed to explain. Nostalgia too.

5. I also like TMNT 2012.

6. Danny Phantom too. I remember it, but I didn't watch it. Great show.

7. The cherry of the top of the cake- I'm a massive Transformers fan (also mentioned in my profile), especially of the live action franchise (Bayverse, Knightverse and ROTB), but also G1 and TFP. In YouTube I commented literally everywhere, both in Lego Transformers and in general TF stuff- reviews, news, that for the most part. I had this kinda reputation. It was fun and I want those times to be back cuz I'm currently not on YouTube (disconnected from the Lego Transformers community, which by itself is a tiny community, I really wanma go back :P)

As for MOCs, my entire YouTube channel was them... I still have most of the photos and some videos. I ran the channel for 3 years, from February 2020 and it was my Lego Transformers MOCs.

I was obsessed with Robotech as a kid in the '80s. It was the US version of Macross (and Southern Cross and Mospeada). At that time, almost nobody knew what anime was, and if they did, they called it Japanimation. I loved renting any anime VHS tapes I could find at mom & pop video stores as well as Blockbuster. I also bought Animag, and later, Animerica magazines, which were often easier to find, and definitely cheaper, than actual anime. Tenchi Muyu was the second anime I liked almost as much as Macross.

Record of Lodoss Wars was the first anime box set I ever bought. I remember getting it at Suncoast Video in the mall for about $100. Money well spent. Of course now I have the DVDs. Geez, I probably need to upgrade to Blu Ray if there even is one.

I still like anime, but mainly OVAs from the 80s & 90s. High budget cel animation was peak.

Various "American" '80s cartoon intros are on regular rotation in my house. Thundercats might have the most epic cartoon intro of all time. Ducktales, Voltron, Silverhawks, Gummi Bears, New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Inspector Gadget are other favorites.

GI Joe was my favorite non anime cartoon as a kid.

Excellent watches. Love Zoids: NC and SK8 especially.

Which of these did you enjoy the most?

To date, I own over 300 anime titles on DVD. A mix of series, shorts, and OAVs. They are all great, but if I had to list some standouts, they would be:

  1. Macross (anything Macross)
  2. Escaflowne
  3. Scrapped Princess
  4. Full Metal Panic
  5. Brain Powerd
  6. Zoids NC/0, Chaotic Century, Fuzors, and Genesis (Zoids are my other hobby besides Lego).
  7. Bubblegum Crisis (both releases)

This thread isn't very active anymore, huh...

Just wanted to pop in to say I'm amazingly impressed with the first two episodes of Witch Hat Atelier, which just debuted yesterday. I'd really enjoyed the manga which is one of the most lavishly illustrated comics I've ever read, and the anime does that justice while also taking advantage of the change in medium.

I was recently made aware of this anime (I forget where) and thought the character designs were pretty cool. I kinda gave up on any anime made after the 90's, but I might check it out.

17 years later and uh... Oh man. Oh man oh man... I'm still here

Gosh. So I still love Astro Boy and Robotech/Macross. I have a backlog of anime to watch and recently watched all 10 episodes of Haunted Hotel on Netflix. (It was funny, I liked it). I have been watching the Ranma 1/2 remake episodes and enjoying those. I liked Owl House, RWBY, Bee and Puppycat.

Plenty of series have been and gone but I am glad EB is still here.

So anyway: It is fun to see a thread I made so long ago still gets posts.

Yep. EB is pretty dead and very hard to access (if it loads at all) these days, but we’re still here. :classic:

Indeed there has been a lot of shows. I started playing D&D 2 years ago and I’ve been enjoying all the media (and LEGO) that has been released based on it since then such as Vox Machina, Mighty Nein, and Delicious in Dungeon. Amazon’s other big animated show, Invincible, is also great. Many criticize the cheap animation, but I don’t mind it since it reminds me of Saturday morning cartoons.

There has also been a boom of good video game cartoons. Castlevania, Arcane and Tomb Raider are all quite good just to name a few

A few other cartoons from recent memory:

Blue Eye Samurai is amazing.
Scavengers Reign was hauntingly beautiful.
Primal continues to be awesome, even though the third season was a bit weaker with the whole zombie thing.
Chaos Theory was a good follow up to Camp Cretaceous, both of which are the best thing to happen to the Jurassic franchise since JP2.
The Dragon Prince, while not as good as Avatar or some other shows, is still a good fantasy adventure.
My Adventures with Superman is super underrated.
Tales of the TMNT is fun. Not the best Ninja Turtles show, but definitely not the worst either.
Dream Productions, an Inside Out spinoff movie that is almost as good as the main movies, but was dumped onto Disney+ as a 4-part series for some reason. Seriously underrated.
Not to mention Ninjago and all the good animated Star Wars content we’ve been getting!
