CanX Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Hello all, New to the forum. I'm starting a military sci-fi theme based around this vehicle and its variants. More to come when I find the time to build again! Exterior: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/98858 Interior: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/102045 Videos: I hope you enjoy exploring it as much as I enjoyed building it. Cheers. Quote
Commander Flash Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 That is a great tank! It has just enough greebles that it looks realistic. Good Job Quote
Rocketbilly Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 That's superb, really great details on that, and is that a Canadian flag I can see? Not entirely sure though, But it's a nice little detail whatever it is. I especially like the shape, this is better than those Star Wars tanks by a mile. Oh, and welcome to Eurobricks! LuxorV Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Great built, CanX Maybe a bit too long in the front 'fins', but that's just me . You surely used some interesting techniques here. Welcome to EB, btw LuxorV Quote
Voodrew Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Hey, Brad. I followed you from the MOCPages over here. I DO do 3D versions of Legos and would love to get build instructions and a parts list to do this in photorealistic 3D. Tried to send you a private message with my Email address, but it errored out on me. Contact me and let's talk. I have included an example of my work. Each brick was modeled individually and the picture does include all 500+ bricks that the plans called for. Before anyone screams: This was a virtualized version of plans created by Chris Doyle at reasonableclever.com Drew Quote
Capt. Kirk Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Beautiful entrance, I would say ... looks promising for the future... Quote
CanX Posted September 6, 2009 Author Posted September 6, 2009 That's a tall order Voodrew. Aside from external concept drawings, I don't create instructions. I admire those who can, but I find the whole building experience is rather holistic, more like sculpture than engineering. A parts list is possible. I created an Excel file that listed the parts I ordered and categorized them by where I thought they might go in the build. The parts are listed by the official Bricklink names and part #s. Quote

A parts list would be a great start. I would be able to figure out (with the help of your photos) where each exposed piece goes. Please, either attach it to a post or email it to me and I will see which parts I already have modeled and which I need to make Drew Quote
Strand Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Looks like a Tau vehicle (Warhammer 40k), nice design. Quote
Princess Muttonchops Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Cool MOC CanX, nice to see such a beefy-looking, yet still futuristic tank. The colour works beautifully, and the maple leaf pieces are a nice touch. Quote
