Klaus-Dieter Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 (edited) Hello everybody! I couldn't find a topic similar to this one. So I decided to open a new one. If there is already a topic about this subject somewhere please delete mine - thanks. Here is the question/content: Which already existing elements would you like to be sold via PaB (and so be perhaps available in LDD, too)? I personally would like to see many more minifig parts and minifig accessory: The product line of minifig parts and accessory seems to me to be a bit at random since there are some minifig torsos of which you need only very few or even none (e. g. the street cleaner's torso, the two Space Police torsos and the torso from Spongebob) and even minifig accessory which do not go with the minifigs available in PaB/LDD (e. g. a medieval back carrier and a lot of medieval weapons but no single medieval torso, no buckler, no helmet or other medieval headgear and no horse) and there are some minifig parts which don't suffice to build a whole complete minifig (e. g. there are four female hair pieces but no single female torso). Because of these reasons I'd like to see: -at least two female City torsos -medieval torsos -horse(s) -medieval headgears, helmets, sword(s) and bucklers -banknotes -gold pieces -fruit tree -guns -revolvers -hats -grey and blue pants for kids -pieces for building a brick-built tree (like in 10193 or 10199) Please share your thoughts. xenologer Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 I want the Space windscreens (from the SpaceSkulls/StarJustice) put back in. But considering the insane price hike (and subsequent retraction) I don't think we can expect much out of TLC as far as improvement in LDD goes. Quote
Eilif Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 There are a number of pieces that were formerly in the selection that I would like to see back. -dark red and dark blue basic brick -Large arched "cast iron" gates -SW pilot torsos. I can't belive I missed my chance to get these! As for new pieces to add: -I agree that It'd be nice to see some distinctly female torsos -More printed bricks and tiles would also be nice -Inverse arches in grey and tan. I don't use LDD, and I view PAB as a way for me to get larger amounts of special elements that are expensive elsewhere. Thus, I'd like to see more specialized elements, minifig parts, and architectural details. Quote
Joebot Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 I'd like to see some sloped roof bricks in some color OTHER than red and black. I'd love to get the full complement of roof pieces (convex and concave corners, peaks, that weird little triangle piece for making dormers, etc.) in dark grey, tan, brown, dark blue, etc. Quote
posades Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Any basic plates/bricks in the rarer colors would be nice, such as dark brown or dark tan. I also agree with a greater selection of minifig torsos/heads. Quote
Rijkvv Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 I agree about the minifigs. There is too less choice. I also would like to see many parts that are already in PaB in more colours. PaB has the same parts selection as LDD, right? It's very annoying if I want to build a vehicle (and maybe buy it), but the doors are only in red, and the mudguards in pink (for example). Quote
Tom Bricks Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Off the top of my head I would like: -car doors in more colors -cows -ship hulls -cannons -masts -the new track pieces from the temple of doom set -the mermaid torso and legs -tan and blue baseplates Most of these are unlikely but I would love to see one or two of them happen. Quote
Wout Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 old castle walls (the old ones from the 80ies) and the new big round corners. Leavespieces blue, dark blue, dark red roofslopes more minifigfaces Quote
richb Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Lt Stone Grey tiles/bricks - at the very least 1x1s in quantity. PaB currently only offers Medium and Dark Stone, which makes B&W mosaic building a lot more challenging in four colors rather than five. I'm working on a mosaic of my baby girl right now and I'd like to have lt stone grey, and ideally even a sixth shade in the B/W scale that falls between white and lt stone. Quote
FlyChicken Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 I'd like to see more minifig equipment, medieval torsos, more heads and some new food. Quote
Scorpion Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 First of all I'd like to say that all piece that LEGO currently produces should be in LDD, if only for CAD pourposes. Now, for the parts. Car doors in more than just one colour, thank you. Non-transparent 2x1x1 plates. Inverse slopes with cutout (great for aircraft-building!). More variety of wedges and wings! More windshields. In general, all pieces should be available in more than just 3 colours... That is all. Brick on! Scorpion Quote
CP5670 Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 I would like to see more generic pieces like bricks and plates in various transparent colors (beyond just the small 1x1, 1x2, etc. sizes). Such pieces used to be fairly common in the 70s and 80s, but have rarely been seen since then. Some functional Technic pieces would also be good, although most of those can be purchased in bulk from Lego Education. First of all I'd like to say that all piece that LEGO currently produces should be in LDD, if only for CAD pourposes. LDD is really meant to be a way to design and place Factory orders, not as a general CAD tool. MLCad and SR3D are better suited for that. Quote
Scorpion Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 LDD is really meant to be a way to design and place Factory orders, not as a general CAD tool. MLCad and SR3D are better suited for that. Still, LDD is FAR more user-friendly and does exactly the same, so... The only that would be needed would be for Lego to keep adding pieces. Quote
Piranha Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Online PaB or Retail store PaB? For LSAH they have a great selection to choose from Retail LEGO store PaB I think these would be nice additons (some are not online so good there too) Fish (I would grab alot) Apple Various female hairpieces Bikes (new colors) and various tree selections would also be nice Cows? That would be awesome but I doubt that will happen Quote
Forresto Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I would love it if they did these: -More grey walls -minifig accesories -more pieces that might go along expanding other themes. Castle,Star Wars, space police..... For example alien heads from previous alien lines or battle droid parts. Quote
Brickmaster Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I'm not so much after the choice of brick styles as I am the color. Purple, I say! Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Are any of the Ambassadors aware of when the next update to Pick a Brick will occur? I was wondering if it was going to be an annual thing or what? Thanks Quote
