Zarkan Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 come on, people, this is so simple i should kick your butt for not having come up with this solution yourself! Ah, but I would have, I just needed to get the kit first, I'm all visual. I guess that's why you're called a meance ;) Speaking of which, I just might get this kit after Christmas (and my birthday), and I would keep it together. Yes, some of those weak spots are anoying, but I still like the overal look. And just imagine 5 or 10 of these flanking your UCS star destroyer! :oD ~~END~~ Quote
captaintau Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 You could replace the 2x2 plates with turntables (part 3680c01). That the wings fold would them in place either horizontally or vertically by gripping the body of the v-wing Quote
Vader Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 Its easily fixed and i look forward to customizing this fine little ship once i get my hands on it. Quote
Yuppley Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 Dang it, in Canada S@H they only have it in the Ultimate Space Battle (instead of Obi Wan's JSF). And, if you got one of those red thing like an unprinted R2 body, you could put on a decal matching the wil' (oh he IS so cute) red astro droids head. EDIT: And, and, if the wings are attach by a technic pin, then you could probably just stick on of those technic rods with both sides round in it. Edit II: And, and, and, *gasps*, (mildly off topic) my towns Lego store is rereleasing the Falcon, is this new news? Quote
Starwars4J Posted December 13, 2005 Author Posted December 13, 2005 At the request of a few members, a few additional pics of the V-Wing First of the cockpit (ouch...) Then how the wing attaches to the body Enjoy :-D Quote
Legoman Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 i dont think that it would be to hard to costomize ;) Quote
xwingyoda Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 Tks Starwars4J for the additional pics ;) I can't wait a few weeks to get mine !!!! Quote
snefroe Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 thanks for the pics.... the cockpit looks rather primitive, tho :'( Quote
Legoman Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 You don't think...what? sorry i forgot to finsh my post :P Quote
Beagle Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 Okay, this is gonna sound weird, since I said a few posts ago that I think the ship is somewhat weak.... but I actually like the cockpit. I like those angled plates on either side of it, it gives it a wedge-shaped look that seems very unique to me. Though I will probably swap out that little vent tile with a decorated control-panel tile. Thanks for the additional pics! Quote
Dino_Bot Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 I really dont see this set as being weak, in fact i think its alot better than alot of ships that weve had over the years. For the price i think that its a great little ship and one that will no doubt do well in sales for lego.As for the wings well im sure theres ways around the whole turning issue and i expect someone to come up with a way for them to rotate without doing it all the time. of course you can! replace the the black round 2 x 2 plates by a 1 x 1 round plate, attatch the wing section to it, and you'll have a wing section that can easily be rotated, but at the same time the wing will be quite solid and won't move unless you manipulate it! come on, people, this is so simple i should kick your butt for not having come up with this solution yourself! :P hehehe, I have lots of those!!!i'll not just have an awesomely big fleet of V-wings to challenge my army of TIES, but they're gnna be movie accurate! aahahha! Well, two of them at least... Quote
Dark1 Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 On my S@H its the must buy set. :oD That will do >-| Quote
