Governor Mister Phes Posted December 5, 2005 Governor Posted December 5, 2005 Yeah, I'm aware there's a thread called UFO siteings but I'm not posting my story 51 posts into a thread because I want it fresh and up the top. Now onto the story... Every night I go running in the country usually after midnight. Being the country the sky is alot clearer without the lights of surbia interfering with the view, so the stars can be more easily seen. I even counted 12 shooting stars, one so big it had the full on meteorite effect going and I thought holy shiiiiiiiiiat there's gonna be a KABOOOOM!!! Fortunately it burnt out but it did make it quite low. Upon my way back a bright light above me caught my eye, so I strained slightly and looked up. In the middle of the sky was a bright light, like a star only much bigger and it was so bright it slightly hurt my eyes. It stayed in the same place for about 5 seconds then dramtically shrunk on the spot then began moving away, a steady pace but not as fast as shooting stars. I watched it until it became lost amongst the stars of the Milky Way. This might not have been an alien space craft, but it certainly wasn't behaving like any of the stars or meteors I've seen to date. It also wasn't an aeroplane (there's an airport about 20Km away so I've seen plenty of those too) because it was much too far away and aeroplanes have blinking lights. But if there's any astrologers, astronomers or cosmologists here that can explain what this really is, go right ahead! Regardless of what it actually is, its still Unidentified, it was flying and it was an object, so don't tell me it wasn't a UFO if unless you can indentify it! Quote
dviddy Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 aeroplanes have blinking lights. You know, around here, the airplanes and helicopters (which it kinda sounds like, with the hovering in place thing), have solid lights. The towers have blinking lights, but the planes are solid man. Solid! <<DV>> Quote
Vader Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 Ive only ever once saw what i would consider a ufo, it was a good 12 yrs ago and some friends and myself were walking through a park when we saw a light in the sky at first we though it was just a plane but then we noticed that this thing was making moves that i for one had never seen. After a few mins this thing just shot off and we didnt see it again, but heres the strange part after that for the next few hours all we saw in the sky was aeroplanes and im not talking about passenger ones. No these were fighter jets and there were also alot of helicopters around to, which we found very strange as i have never ever witnessed a fighter jet in the sky before and to see a lot of them within the space of a few hours was really strange. Anyway im not saying that what we saw was little grey men in a ship but i do believe that it was something that shouldnt of been in our airspace. Quote
snefroe Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 don't think i ever saw a UFO, however, i once noticed a white light up in the sky i couldn't identify. as often with these cases, the light was moving in what appeared to be an "unnatural" way, sometimes it increased speed, sometimes it slowed down... other people saw the thing as well... Then it struck me. There was no light, it was nearly a reflection of light against the clouds. It looked spooky, but in the end, it was just reflection of a laser beam from a dancing several miles away. because the clouds were moving and the beam was moving as well, it looked as if the reflection was flying around in a weird way. Many people seem to think they're seeing a UFO because they very often don't recognice meteorological phenomena any more. They also seem to "forget" the sound of a certain object they see. very often they see a bright white light what turns out to be the landing lights of an airplane, but for some reason, they don't seem to hear the noise of the engines... Hobbes Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Solid! Not the red and the green one, they're blinking. A plane definitely has those (right and left or vice versa). As for a chopper I dunno... Quote
Hobbes Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 [...] so don't tell me it wasn't a UFO if unless you can indentify it! Mutant firefly... Quote
Hobbes Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Anyway im not saying that what we saw was little grey men in a ship [...] Ain't they green? Quote
