When the muses call, it is unwise to ignore them. So, I built in a style that was very new to me. So, here we go!

A shot of the street shows some lovely store fronts. Specifically, the Bank and the Herbalist's Shoppe. You can't see them, but there is a tavern and an Armory retailer behind the shops. The white on top is the living quarters of the shop keepers.

What's new for me is that each roof is removable.

The gallery is public, so feel free to browse through the shops, and see the items available. Please stop in at the tavern, and enjoy the home brew. Thanks for shopping! ;)

Darkie,

Very nice.

At first the white washed walls looked a little bright to me, but after cycling through the pics again, it had grown on me. I like the roof design, and opening them up gives us a nice gander as to the details you put on the interior. On the whole, its those details hat give it life. In many ways, it reminds me of a section out of one of the local renn faires (which is not a bad thing ;) ). All in all, very nice, and thanks for showing us the pics.

Fantastic, is that old grey (tiles) mixed with dark bley? Also, are all the walls 1 x X with some having 2x2 tiles on top? For the building that had 2x2 tiles with 1xX bricks, why'd you do that? is there some secret to stability, or was that just what you had available?

Overall I love the minifigs, and the poses. The whole place looks very busy, and lively. The color combinations are quite interesting, and seem to work well.

I used the 2x2 tiles because my local PAB has 2x2 tiles. They're what I have. It presented a sort of challenge, getting the roofs to lay right.

Most of the grey seen is new grey. It's what I had available.

I figured for a uniform look, a high and mighty socialite would have called for white-washing of the visible buildings.

Thanks, all!

Well it's pulled off very well! I think that putting bley with white offsets it's slightly metallic appearance.

A very nicely contained MOC... sometimes my biggest problem is getting the 'balance' (for lack of a better word) correct. The only major change I would make would be the white of the storefronts...

God Bless,

Nathan
