speaknspell Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 I picked this one up at Toys R Us last night, its a really fun build. Lots of neat slopes and other cool pieces. steve Quote
crispen Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 there out? well i am missing out cause that looks sweet |-D ! Quote
Deinonychus Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Sweet...I can't wait to build some of the other dinosaurs from that as well... Although I kind of wish they'd issued him in different colors. Don't get me wrong, I'll take all the "Republic Red" bricks I can get, but he's going to sort of blend with the T. rex a little too much :P Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 ::wonders what brick is used as the shoulder to the front leg:: It's a nice pile of parts there. The main pity is the weird colors tossed in out of place that shoots the uniformity down. Still, a nice set of parts for moc'ing (which is about all I see sets as). Man... I wish they'd make those FRICTION friction pegs like the eyes are attached to in different colors. It's pretty much what... black and blue, right? Not nearly enough, especially since they keep using that part in sets where blue clashes BAD with them. Not sure I dig the white-tipped horns. I mean yay for dinosaur tails in tan, but not if there's no tan barbs in any sets to go on them.. ...well, there's longer dino tips from some older sets at least. Quote
Dino_Bot Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Oh My God! ITS BEAUTIFUL! When is it comin out? I could make tons of Starfighters with it, and me, being a huge dino fan and collector...This is one item I should have. I didn't get the T.Rex cuz it wasn't only too expensive, but I didn't like its design that much. But this one...WOW! I could make it hollow and put clone troopers inside! Call it AT TRIKE! OMG its beautiful, and accurate as a marginocephalian ceratopsian Quote
Kahgarak Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Nice idea,Dino Bot!It would make a nice siege vehicle. *shadowknight* Quote
dunamis Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 I saw this at Toys R Us in Woodland Hills, CA yesterday. They had a ton of them and it was $19.95 for 380 pieces. Looks like a great set. Quote
Dino_Bot Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 Yes, you gotta think of the possibilities! JEDI:"Hey!Palpatine, we surrender! let us enter the city and give you this marginocephalian as a token for peace!" PALPATINE:"Good! Good I have forseen this! let them entah!" Stromtrooper:"Sir, this case has a precedent...maybe you should hear about it" Palpatine:"SHH SHH! This is where the Sith rule the universe! Besides, IVE FORSEEN THIS! *forcelighting on Stormtrooper* JEDI: "Thank you oh gracious FOOL!" PALPATINE:"AH? my vision was wrong!" *tons of Jedi and clone troopers come out and lay siege to coruscant, and the Triceratops gets a giant turbolaser behind its back and disintegrates palpatine in a shot* Quote
Kahgarak Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 You mean like the Trojan Horse?Cool. *shadowknight* Quote
chump Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 I know that they don't fit into the other categories that Eurobricks forums have set, but how are the Designer sets "non-system"? That's a travesty, as they are very much largely brick based which is the "system". I propose making another forum for Designer sets and Technic sets. Quote
sam89 Posted December 2, 2005 Author Posted December 2, 2005 This is now available on S@H in the US: http://shop.lego.com/product.asp?p=4892&cn=49&d=11&t=5 I like the Stegosaurus! :-D Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 ^^^ Even better, it's on Amazon.com... on sale for $15 instead of Lego's $20. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...s=toys&n=507846 Quote
Dino_Bot Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 WOW! I like the T.Rex youngling! But the Triceratops is truly the best. Chump's right...I was thinking that this should be in system, not in non system. Quote
snefroe Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 hm... i'm not really sure about this one. it looks good, but i'd like to see the real model first before making up my mind about this one... still, the t-rex looked more impressive, for some reason... did you guys see the number of awards the t rex got? impressive!
