aayla-secura Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Hey. I dont know if its wrong here etc. But i need to build a few branches. Does someone has a technique for it? Thanks! Quote
Ewok Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Hi aayla I would take these pieces in brown: http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/30374 Then you take a few brown hands an push them on it! That's one of the best techniques Ewok Quote
LuxorV Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Hi aayla-secura, I moved this to the General Discussion Forum, since its sub-title says: Discuss LEGO news, building techniques, and all other general topics Apart from that, I think Ewok already showed the best/most beautiful option to build the branches LuxorV Quote
SuvieD Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 How big are the branches? I would use these arches normally with a few 1x3 or 1x4 plates in the corresponding color and then plant parts on top. If it is bigger than that, like say for an ewok village size limb, I would use 2x2 plates of the needed length with bricks on top and then switch to some of the arches or use more plates. See below The round bars with clips or hands on them work nicely as small branches or trimmed brush. Quote
Brickthus Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Here's a 3-trunk tree I used black 3.2mm rigid tubes for the trunks, with Technic 1x2 double cross hole thin beams to connect them together. Ideally, TLG would bring out a piece similar to the Brickarms double clip piece, because droid arms are a bit long for adjacent trunk attachment. Mark Quote
prateek Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 i use ?x1 brown tiles as branches, and you can make very wierd shapes Quote
Toth Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 I saw lately an amazing way to do Tree branches. I can't find the pic on the net but it was a MOC of Endor Ewok trees. And the guy used Brown Lego technic connectors. The one with different angles. Connecting them all together and plugging leaves on it is doing amazing branches. I wil try to find the pic. Quote
Mrcool1804 Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Im going to BUMP this topic as I too am looking for a branch technique Quote
FinalFeature Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Try using the lego indiana jones whip for branches. LegoGalactus Quote
Oky Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 (edited) Those would be some pretty curly branches. Rather use the PoP whip. It's PoP month after all! Has anyone ever tried using the brown tread links as branches? That might be something worth looking into... Edited April 22, 2010 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
