Mraz Skintas Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 I just finished (re)reading the Master Chief Trilogy (Fall of Reach, The Flood, and First Strike) I was left wanting more. We know what happened between Halo:C Combat Evolved and Halo 2, the side stories for Combat Evolved - but what about the Halo 2 and 3 side stories? Since Halo: The Flood pretty much went directly with Halo: CE, I think it would be good to see books that paralleled Halo 2 and 3. So without any farther ado, the rest of my ideas. Books: Halo novel of Halo 3 Halo novel of Halo 2 (We are getting this soon but) New Darth Bane book Novels based off of Halo Wars More to come.... Games: New KotOR (Not MMORPG) Real time action KotOR Halo 4 FPS set around time of Halo Wars Battlefront 3 Sequel to COD: World at War Sequel to LOTR Conquest New Republic Commando New Jedi Knight title More to come Movies: Halo Movie Meh, can't think of much other than that..... Holy Diver Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Sequel to COD: World at War Sequel to LOTR Conquest I think that WAW ended around the time WWII was ending, so I'm not sure what else a sequel would cover. I would like to see a Conquest sequel, but EA lost the game rights for LOTR so chances are low on that one. I'm actually suprised that someone else liked that game other than me. Quote
Mraz Skintas Posted May 30, 2009 Author Posted May 30, 2009 I thought it was fun, mainly because I was a big fan of the Battlefronts, and they play the same. Yeah, WAW ended around the same time as WWII, but Peliliu, Okanawa, and Germany weren't the only places WWII took place. Maybe you could play as the Axis in the campaign for once. Quote
Oky Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Cool topic! Here's what I can think of right now: Games: Lego Star Wars: The Clone Wars: The Videogame Lego Harry Potter: The Videogame Jak 4 and other Jak games SW Battlefront 3 Mirrors Edge 2 Ratchet & Clank sequels and spin-offs A new Podracing game SW Rogue Squadron IV Worms: Open Warfare 3 Movies: Anything made by Pixar Iron Man sequels The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn (coming 2011) and sequels (if it's good) The Avengers (coming 2012) The Flash T5 Jak/Ratchet & Clank: The Movie Halo: The Movie Batman VS. Superman X-Men Origins: Deadpool (confirmed!) A Pirates of the Carribean sequel that doesn't suck! LEGO: The Movie! Books: Uhm... Anything by J.K. Rowling or Timothy Zahn. Quote
Natman8000 Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Mario and Luigi RPG 3. At this point, for the US it is only a rumor. I need that game. Quote
HumanPackMule Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Video games: Jak 4 SW battlefront 3 Movies Gundam 00 movie (confirmed for 2010) a remake of 2001: A Space Odyssey that isn't boring and inaccurate Books Back story novel about Palpatine Richter 10 sequel Quote
Satellite Jack Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Star Wars the Force Unleashed 2 The Conduit 2 (Even if the 1st one didn't come out yet ) Super Smash Bros. 4 A new Metroid game! I mean, the trilogy's coming out for the Wii, but I need a new one, not remakes! Quote
AwesomeStar Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I'm agreeing with you ALL here! I don't know if any of you saw it, but Bungie did give rights to a film group to make some Halo live action films: Also available on Xbox LIVE download. ~A.S. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Much more Discworld. The Last Great Hare Race, by Jasperf Fford, the last book in his Jack Sprat/Nursery Crime series. Any more Thursday Next books he feels like reading. A sequel to Abhorsen, which I know is coming but not for a while yet. One more Johnny Maxwell book. Games and films? Nothing much I really want from there. Quite a lot of films I like will probably get a re-make (as they are a bit old now) and then those will get sequels. As for games? FFVII and FFVIII should have sequels and maybe even a re-make with all the shiny bells and whistles of your current games and voice acting. That's just me (only other games I play are Pokemon, and those games are coming out until the end of time, as far as I can tell.) Quote
Tyrant Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Movies: -T5 and T6, but not McG's proposed plot. -Predator 3 (complete longshot) -Alien 5 (make it better than 3 and 4 and I will be happy) -AvP 3 (if the two above this won't work, just make this and have it not be terrible) -Underworld 3 (I guess 3 would be the correct number if I am referring to one after Evolution) -Resident Evil 4-they're working on it apparently (they aren't the greatest movies and as adaptations they fall short, but they are somewhat entertaining) -Iron Man sequels (I have to know how they will work the Mandarin into these) -Hulk sequels (the new one was good and left a few potential plot threads they could pursue) -XMen 4 (if only because I would like to see them make Apocalypse work in a movie) -Star Trek sequels-the new movie was great and they left it open to not be a slave to prior continuity -Grindhouse-Not so much a sequel, but I would love to see movies made from the absurd trailers in the mddle of the movie. "Don't!" "Thanksgiving" and "She Wolf Women of the SS" (with Nicholas Cage as Fu Manchu) -Dungeons and Dragons (really, with all the possible storyline, is it that hard to make a decent movie under this title?) -The Simirillion-I haven't read it myself, but it's the back story to Lord of the Rings and apparently has a number of stories in it -Conan 3-Arnold is age appropriate to play an aged King Conan who sets out for one last adventure -Dragonlance-A real movie, not something that looks like it came from the 80s even though it was made last year (or the year before). Make it about the War of the Twins if the War of the Lance isn't movie quality Games: -KotoR 3 -SW Battlefront 3 -A decent Red Faction sequel (might be available real soon) -More expansions for Neverwinter Nights 2, or a Neverwinter Nights 3 in place of that (PC) -More Command and Conquer 3 expansions (PC) -Mega Man X 9 -Mega Man X Command Mission 2 -Mechassault 3 -Mechwarrior 5 (PC) -A remake of TIE Fighter with pretty well everything updated (PC), maybe platforms as well Books: -More SW books about the Sith between KotoR and Episode I -More Clone Wars books -Anything Zahn would write that would be SW related -A KotoR book (or books) about Malak and Revan leading up to just before the game starts -More pre-4th edition Forgotten Realms books, post 4th edition books haven't been bad but large chunks of the world got destroyed in the transition and lots of gods died. All that back story being chucked seems pointless to me and takes away some of the magic of the setting. Quote

Seconded With the remake of FFVII I hope they used the same actors they used with Advent Children. Quote

Those were just a few mini-films. Not part of the real movie. If the real movie is made, some details are here. Quote
Natman8000 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 That's just me (only other games I play are Pokemon, and those games are coming out until the end of time, as far as I can tell.) Well, Heart Gold and Silver will come out eventually, and even though I don't like Pokemon, I loved Crystal way back. So I have to buy it. Quote
