woody64 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 ou have to take a look on this cool Napoleonic creations ... http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/122878#reviews Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Great find Woody! The torso decals are nice but the paintings/decals on the shako's are amazing! The cannon is somewhat too big for an 8 pounder though, it looks like a 24 now. I think it's quite big compared to the minifigs. But it looks cool anyway! Thanks for sharing! Great find Woody! woody64 Posted May 29, 2009 Author Posted May 29, 2009 (edited) Take also a look on Michaels other Napoleonic creations !!!!!! For example this: I'm sure I have seen a painting of this scene so it may therefore fit in MOCs based on paintings. Woody64 Edited May 29, 2009 by woody64 Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Awesome! I think those are Austrian forces if I take a look at the wonderful flags. Why are the guys in the middle carrying yellow goblets and other things? Are they spyglasses or holy artifacts? It's very detailed! Thanks for pointing this out, I will have a look at his creations. Zorro Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Very nice cannon and army! And looks good how you placed them in the background! Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 It's a very nice cannon and army, as has been said, but...8-pounders are not supposed to be that big! What we have from TLC now, that is an eight pounder. What he has is a much bigger cannon. Nice army, though! Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Nice army, great uniforms I also like the things on the back of the horses. I agree about the size of the cannon, maybe you can better just say it's a 24 pounder instead of making a smaller one because this one looks cool. Quote
woody64 Posted June 13, 2009 Author Posted June 13, 2009 Here's a new creation: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/127498 Quote
Zorro Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 You must make brickbuild cannons to have smaller guns, the LEGO cannons are way oversized, this is common knowledge. Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 I really like the copper/bronze painted barrel and the grey on the wheels is also neat. And of course I really like the decals! The shako's are very nice as well. Quote

The shako's are very nice as well. Yes, the painting really does add a lot to the MOC. It's nice to see a bronze cannon (even if it says ornamental to me), and I love that subtle yet detailed painted back-pack. Am I the only one who thinks the guy on the far right is holding one of those Magna Guard batons? I'm assuming it's a thing you shove the cannonball down the barrel with, but I've never seen a two-ended one before Quote
General Armendariz Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 I love this guys stuff, it rocks!!! Quote
lego fox Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Frome my limmited exsperens I'd say that thay were all to ended each serving a differrnt perpous. But that exsperyens only came frome being a visiter at a historic fort in the air-re-ya. Parden my spelling most of the time I'm just sounding out the werd and hoping it right. Quote

And here's a famous scene from Waterloo ... Woody64 Edited June 16, 2009 by woody64 Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Very nice scene! I love that cannon I don't know this 'famous scene', but I don't know a lot about the battle of Waterloo anyway, so what scene is it? (btw, a cool background could finish this one ) Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Looks great! The building is very nice but the action in here too. There are a lot of customized soldiers in there. Quote
Ratshot Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 That little cannon is awesomely great If I ever get rich I'll build about a million of them, I just love them   :pir-wub: :pir-wub: Quote

(btw, a cool background could finish this one ) Then you should read this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Haye_Sainte For Wellinfton this area was very important since it hinders the french to position their cannons in near shooting positions to the hidden squares. Admiral Croissant Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Then you should read thishttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Haye_Sainte Ah..now I see well, you (or 'michaelozzie) made it very good! I've read the wikipedia text. So is this the situation at about 18.00? Looks like it because the French almost take the fort here. Quote
Emperor Claudius Rome Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 These creations are great. Full of history Quote
Lego_Warlord_8 Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 (edited) I saw this on MOC pages, it looks AWESOME. Good ole' history is just packed into this creation! I really like how you made that French flag, clever idea. Edited July 2, 2009 by Lego_Warlord_8 Quote
