Tom Bricks Posted May 28, 2009 Author Posted May 28, 2009 Picking a figure to represent the castle line simply doesn't make sense. I will share with you why I posted this. I was thinking about that giant lego figure that washed up on the beach and I thought how cool one of those would be to have. Then I decided that the same person who made this of if it was TLC they should make this and bring it to conventions and things. Because of the size and probable cost of this giant you could only have one for each theme and then I got to thinking which one would represent each theme. Most where kind of obvious but the Castle line stumped me so I decided to ask everyone here. I'm kinda leaning towards the black falcon knight no but that's just my preference. Thats pretty much how I thought of one figure representing the entire theme. Quote
General Armendariz Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I would have to say this guy. The knight, I imagine children class its 'power' like its god. I think him^^ or the new King minifigure. Not to sure about that god thing though . Not in our modern times anyway . I wuoldnt agree with any of these, this castle line has been here for 30+ years! it should be something classic, but I think two figures should represent the castle line, like a Black falcon and a crusader. jonwil Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I would say that either a yellow castle fig or one of the ones with the breastplate armor torso (possibly one of the figs that wears the armor piece) would be best. Quote
gogobig Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I think that a knight from older sets would be a perfect minifig. The minifig from black knights sets, that knights in dark gray (european) armor and helmet with a visor, usually shiled and a sword, you guys know what I am talking about Similar to the knight posted above, but older version. ED-209 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I'd opt for a knight over one of the kings - one of the most recognisable and iconic images that people associate with the middle ages is the "knight in shining armour"; a king just isn't quite specific enough in my mind. Then for me it's the question of which knight? As much as I like the new castle figs, if we're aiming for something a little more vintage, I'd lean towards someone like this: Quote
Dr. Steve Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 A regular soldier like LEGO uses on S@H: It's simple and easy to understand. I agree Quote
Capt. Redblade Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 You're all wrong. It's the Gold Knight from this year's Drawbridge Defense set. Quote
Ratshot Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 You're all wrong. It's the Gold Knight from this year's Drawbridge Defense set. He doesn't represent the castle themes from the past 2 decades very well. Hes to modern for me, But I still like him. Quote
Paradosis Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Another option, from the Lego Castle wallpapers section of Lego.com... (though if you click on that image at the site, it brings up a larger picture) Quote
Spyder Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 (edited) Another option, from the Lego Castle wallpapers section of Lego.com... (though if you click on that image at the site, it brings up a larger picture) I think that the picture is to minimal for some people to tell what it is. Not everyone would know that that's a knight. It's just a face and a shiny helmet. However this is just an opinion of mine. You're all wrong. Wow, that was really harsh. Edited June 17, 2009 by Spyder Quote
gormadoc1 Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 One of the kings to show importance but if it were me I would show Majisto. Quote
