WesternOutlaw Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Part of Ghost Town, here's a recent MOC of a western church: Straight view of the front: Rear view: Front close-up: Overall, a fairly simpe design that seemed to work well. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 22, 2005 Governor Posted November 22, 2005 PRAISE THE LORD!!! The Brickster, has your recent experience with the photo reviews inspired you to post lots of MOCs? You've become a machine and we've recieved a much needed injection of Western theme related threads. Fantabulosuz work! Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted November 22, 2005 Author Posted November 22, 2005 Thanks. Actually, I built this a month or two ago for Ghost Town. But that is true of the western coach. I've got a few others that I haven't taken pictures of yet. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 22, 2005 Governor Posted November 22, 2005 The only thing I'd be worrying about is posting too many MOCs at once might result in the threads getting less responses. More threads too soon means more writing and not everyone is as faster typer as I am! Dammit write faster everyone and respond more! Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted November 22, 2005 Author Posted November 22, 2005 That's fine, I do them for myself - but the comments are appreciated. I'll also be building more. The Index link will keep them together. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 22, 2005 Governor Posted November 22, 2005 If you're inspired and motivated then you go for it The Brickster! And I'll do my best to write respond with relevant comments. Speaking of relevant comments I better think of some for this MOC! Quote
snefroe Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 very nice! perhaps you can add hp's graveyard to it... Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 23, 2005 Governor Posted November 23, 2005 The Brickster, tell us about the mini-figures... Is there any particular reason why you chose those mini-figures (I.e. there's a story behind them) or are they just random mini-figures you added for extra detail? Quote
Sir Dillon Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 I like it. Very simple, but looks really nice. Keep up the good work. Quote
Starwars4J Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Really captures the quaint look of a small western town church. Maybe a few gravestones (made by you, that is) would fit in well! Is there any sort of interior? I love it :-D Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 23, 2005 Governor Posted November 23, 2005 In which image? In any image there are mini-figures... Why have you chosen these particular mini-figures? Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted November 23, 2005 Author Posted November 23, 2005 No, unfortunately, it's sealed up. I was needing a church for the Ghost Town story I'm writing. I don't have too many pieces to work with and just about ran out of white. No smooth plates either to make a roof that comes off. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted November 23, 2005 Author Posted November 23, 2005 In which image? In any image there are mini-figures... Why have you chosen these particular mini-figures? In the Ghost Town image, there's a guy with a knife. He may be in the story. Some of the others next to the colored photos may also be in the story (the banker and the guy with the white hat). I'm still writing and haven't done much lately with mocs and such. Quote

I don't have too many pieces to work with and just about ran out of white. No smooth plates either to make a roof that comes off. It's still fantastic! One question though, how'd you get the cross to stand up? I see no connecting piece, did you just stick it between the studs? Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted November 23, 2005 Author Posted November 23, 2005 yes. Not the best, but it works. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted November 23, 2005 Author Posted November 23, 2005 Here's a shot in town (pictured with the Harry Potter graveyard): Quote

WesternOutlaw Posted November 24, 2005 Author Posted November 24, 2005 This will be different, but can't divulge at this time. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 24, 2005 Governor Posted November 24, 2005 Do these mini-figures have names? Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted November 24, 2005 Author Posted November 24, 2005 Not yet, still too early Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 24, 2005 Governor Posted November 24, 2005 What isn't it too early for? Quote

Governor Mister Phes Posted November 24, 2005 Governor Posted November 24, 2005 The Brickster has become very laconic of late... Quote
