Anders Nolberger Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I was very excited when I heard that Lego was going to release a Farm theme. I am grown up on a Farm in Sweden where we had John Deere tractors and when i was a child I always wanted to build a John Deere in Lego. But tehre was no green bricks at the time... Well now I had something to base my MOC on and plenty of colors to choose from so this is the result. And with 7634 as a comparison More images available at http://www.flickr.com/photos/andersnolberg...57618234760586/ I have also built a trailer and a plough that I will add pictures of later. Quote
mikey Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Nice choice of subject, and well executed... But for me growing up in wales, the only tractor worth having was a Massey Ferguson (red), just like what Lego made for us! Very interested in your plough, I have started some agricultural Lego, a 'disk harrow' and crop sprayer so far. Have you made adaptions to create a '3 point linkage', for the plough connection? Quote
prateek Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 this is a perfect replica of a john deere tractor great job Quote
MarcusV3 Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Yeah farms in the U.S. have John Deere tractors too Great representation Quote
Bartram Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Perfect recreation of the tractors, it looks great. Awesome use of the yellow/green bricks! Quote
legotrainfan Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Very nice MOC! It looks like the real thing! A very nice detail is the grey steps leading to the driver's cabin. As a child I was a fan of Deutz tractors. One of my uncles had some cows and a Deutz. So that's how I started loving that tractor. You cannot imagine how many hours I spent on it. Quote
Joebot Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Love it! I grew up about 50 miles away from the John Deere headquarters in Moline, Illinois, so there were always a lot of John Deere tractors around there. Very nicely done! Quote
Anders Nolberger Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 Thank you everyone for your kind words. Most of the tractor is based on the small red tractor or the blue one in the farm from Lego. So my work is not much. Nice choice of subject, and well executed... On the big blue tractor there is a 3 point linkage but I have not used it for the plough. I think that it only complicates things. I am not very happy with how the plough looks but I will post images of it regardless. Please post images of your machines to, I am very interested in how they look! Very nice MOC! I think it would look amazing with the new windscreen. Quote
