Stacking Heads

I was wondering if it is bad to stack minifigure heads on top of each other for storage. I have heard that it stretches them out and makes them loose, but I have also heard that it is perfectly ok. If anybody has any other ideas for sorting/organizing/storing heads, please let me know

I have done it many times and it has not effected my figs at all!

It's how I store my Lego heads. I haven't noticed any damage, but I am trying to keep my other bricks unstacked just in case.

I think he meant long time. I have kept my doubles/ useless minifig heads stacked in the big part of my minifig storage box. I dont see any damage at all. Maybe if you keep on popping them on and off they would get damaged.

I have never heard of this before. I would say like everyone else is saying that it will not effect your minifig heads.

One way to preserve the neck part in mint condition, if you are concerned, is to attach all the heads by their top stud onto the underside of a large base plate.

Also, "effect" is a noun, "affect" is a verb. X may "affect" Y to produce an "effect", or there may be an "effect" on Y because X "affected" it, but X cannot "effect" Y to produce an "affect". Just because this was done twice in one short thread.

I stack my minifig heads for storage. Although some of the older ones are much more loose than the newer ones, I don't think it has anything to do with stacking, just general usage over the years.

I stack 'em. Lots of 'em. Piles and piles of 'em. Seriously, I built a folding plate base that holds maybe 150.

I don't do a lot of shifting them around and the way they're stored they don't bump each other. I can't imagine it being a problem.

Certainly better than having them roll around a container scratching each other.

All Lego heads have a stud in the top and a stud connection down, so I don't see any reason for care about stretching... As everybody has said I've a lot of them stored in that way and I've never noticed a stretch or anything weird

Unless you stick the bottom in really hard to the stud and sway it, till it flexes and pops, which is extremely hard to do, you'll be fine.

hmm, grammer nazis...

I have stacked my heads for years and suffered no ill effects. The only things that I have ever encountered as problems are loose heads, and thats just down to loss of friction with the torso, print wear from helmets and tooth marks... But only from when I was little.

Thanks for you replies. I've already stacked them all up for easy storage and viewing . It's by far the best way to sort heads .

Be careful of how you say that in public, unless you specify lego heads people are going to think that you are a serial killer

I know I got dirty looks when I once said to my friend that I sorted my heads by colour for ease of location (until I said "It's Lego! Not real heads!").
